Barb, thanks so much for allowing me to do live updates again.
I really enjoy doing it, despite the technical difficulties I had this time around.

One thing I wanted to mention about Food & Wine and snack credits.

We saved all of our snack credits to use last Saturday at Epcot.
Every item...9 of them (not including the sparkling wine & Alcoholic Dole whip I had) were all eligible as snacks on the DDP.

At each booth, I told the CM waiting on us that I wanted to use snack credits. I was very careful to do that.
On Sunday, I found out we had 17 snacks left to use...
We had 9 different items from Epcot on Saturday...so I knew something was not right.

After speaking with a CM & manager at our resort I found that 6 snack credit eligible items were charged to my room instead of charged as a snack credit.
They did fix the problem it took about 25 minutes...they removed the room charges and charged the 6 snacks to our dining plan.

I just wanted to let everyone know if you are using snack credits at the
F & W be sure they are charging them that way

I'm looking forward to my annual birthday trip in March 2014 already
I think I am going solo, DS Joey did alot of complaining this trip

We have received a few more updates from our Disneyland reporter, Paula (smile4stamps).


The first was a snack update from Disneyland's New Orleans Square...





Paula said, "Not having a clue what I want to eat for my next meal I headed for a snack instead."




"What I want isn't on there regular menu though! It's on this one..."







"I ordered the 3 piece Pumpkin Beignets! The best part...they are Mickey shaped!"






One left...







"The beignets are warm and tasty...And gone!!"


"My taste buds are saying I should have gotten 6 instead of 3."

"I went with the Tuna Tartare Tacos and the Passive Allegresive cocktail."




"The tacos are delicious but SO small! The cocktail has an interesting taste but I don't think I'd have it again."


"Well I guess that's it for now. I was going to make it a meal but I'm meeting up with someone later and will probably eat with her. Plus the portions are tiny and prices high here! And with it being an outside bar, people can smoke and that's just gross when you are trying to eat!"​

Miss Potts visited the Food & Wine Festival booths twice on Wednesday and sent us this report from her visit.


She said, "On our way out of Epcot after our lunch at Via Napoli, we stopped by a few F&W booths."


"Well first, I wanted to get an American Dream drink but I learned that it won't be available until after F&W. They took the ice cream machine out of Fife and Drum and are using it in one of the F&W booths. Oh well, next time!"



"So our first stop was...








"I ordered a cannoli!"

Same here!!! First I get news that I don't get a trip on the train around mk now this! Well at least we know we'll be back in the next few years for DD! Now I have something to add to the experience with her list.

Imagine my surprise when I received the First Update of the Day this morning at about 8:30 (Central) and it was not from one of our Disney World reporters. Nope, it was from our Disneyland reporter, Paula (smilestamps), in the Pacific Time Zone where it was about 6:30 a.m. So kudos to Paula!


Here's what she had to say and show us...


"Morning Miss Barb! I head back to San Jose today! But first more food to report on! I met up with a friend last night and after racing to do a few rides before the parks closed we headed to Downtown Disney for some food. This person is really picky on what she will eat so I let her choose the location and we ended up at..."




"Ironically, it is where Brenda and I had made plans to eat the day before but we never made it there."





















"I ordered the Cherry Mojito...




"When this was placed on the table I was a bit confused. I was like, I ordered Cherry not regular! Our server replied, "It is Cherry"...and sure enough it was. I was expecting some cherry garnish or something. Unfortunately, despite loving cherries and mojitos, this simply tasted like cough syrup! I wasn't thrilled."



"Now on to the food, starting with...




...the chips and salsa for the table."


"I should not have touched these! After eating a bunch, I had no room for my meal which included lots of these chips anyways. I even kept saying as I was eating them that I needed to stop...as another went in my mouth!"

So the bad news is that this was the final update from Paula's short trip to Disneyland.
