My Mom would like to get to the Fort from Pinellas County FL without using the interstate system. She was going to AAA but they aren't open when she's off work. Thought maybe someone here may have a suggestion

If you use Google Maps, you can select to "Avoid" Tolls, Highways and/or Ferries in the "Options"

Of course it makes a 1 hour, 45 minute trip upwards of 3 hours.

Thanks so much! Don't know if I want to be on the road that long, but maybe it's worth it for a less stressed Mom

Was going to say, if she is scared to drive on the highway and drive the posted speed limit, most would prefer she drive a different route. Speaking from people who drive big rigs in the right lane, someone doing 40 on the highway actually causes problems.

PSA from someone who does not drive the rig nor drives fast, but being the co pilot has provided valuable experience.

YES TO THIS.

I try to stay right around the Speed limit and maybe just a bit higher (or with the flow of traffic). Nothing more frustrating then the one person who insists on going 5 MPH under the speed limit when everyone else is going 5 MPH OVER the Speed limit.
