No good sales yet!

I thought for sure that by this time last year the sales were much much better! Anyone else feel the same way? I had done so much shopping last year before Nov. even started. This year...nothing yet

All the reports I've read said there will be good deals this year. I'm thinking the stores are waiting to get what they can get now, and then offering deals later as it gets closer to Xmas. I think there are a lot of harder to find items this year, especially kid toys... Or maybe my kids like the more popular stuff now. But, I'm stalking for a Nintendo DSL or DSI deal and haven't seen any yet.

I agree, although I think the trend for most is to buy later/closer to the holidays so perhaps that's why merchants are waiting to place their deeper discounts. I'm mostly looking for preschool toys this year and I know I'm waiting for a better deal than what's currently available.---Kathy

I agree -I haven't seen many great deals yet this year. Usually some of the best deals are in October/early Nov. and I find closer to Christmas, not so much because they know you have to buy whether it's a great deal or not.
