No Free Dining???

So I called to ask if we had any Pins connected to our account and to ask if there are "rumors" of free dining. The CM said that they are never told because they always tell us BUT she did say they were told that there will absolutely not be another FD offer. She did say anything can happen, but that is what they were told. She also said the FD pin is for travel between July 1st and Aug 13th. Any thoughts on this for me???

I also talked to a CM who said there would absolutely be NO free dining this December. I think she just wanted me to book right then. haha, I'm still holding out and wishing and hoping.

Every year we hear this and FD always comes out. Now, that's no guarantee, but we can still hope!

Disney is addicted to special offers and FD is one of their most popular ones. C'mon Disney, daddy wants another FD Thanksgiving trip.

I have no doubt that a CM told you that, but every year (heck, every week!) someone posts the exact same thing, that a CM told them that there would not be anymore free dining, but there always is . . . .

It simply comes down to numbers. Disney is in busniess to make money and that's exactly what free dining does for them. Free Dining is one of the best money making ideas those marketing geniuses at Disney have ever come up with. For example, look at the current crowd numbers for September and early/mid December. Those months used to be very low crowd periods - September even used to be described as a ghost town. With the introduction of the free dining discount Disney is now able to bring in tens of thousands of people to the Disney parks and resorts during those weeks that generate millions of dollars. Free Dining is going away anytime soon.

Personally, I think it's a pretty good bet that another late fall/winter free dining discount will be released this summer.

I called just yesterday and there is a PIN associated with my account for free dining, I don't know the dates, but perhaps I will find this out on MArch 1. This was confirmed by the CS. Good luck.
