no Flotsom and Jetsome at Fantasmic

I had a question when watching Fantasmic this past week.
I hadn't seen Fantasmic since the new dragon and additions and was looking forward to seeing the new Flotsom and Jetsom eels but.....they weren't there. In fact the whole Ursula sequence was cut short. Basically Ursula just said "yes let's do it" and that was it. Anyone know what happened?

And......didn't there used to be an Ursula float of some sort, I haven't seen that in a long time but I do remember there used to be one....right?

Hmm. It must be technical difficulties because I was there a few weeks ago and they had the eels/full sequence.

I remember during my trip, the one night I took the time to watch the whole show, Flotsam and Jetsam did not come by. The next night, while walking by, I decided to stop for just a second to see if they came by because I happened to be there about that time. Sure enough, they did. I wonder if they have technical problems often? I think I remember last summer they did..

I saw Fantasmic three times in late-July. Sometimes Flotsam and Jetsam appeared, and sometimes they didn't. And sometimes at the very end Mickey magically reappeared at a different location, and sometimes he didn't.

Oh well, it was still a great show!

We saw it the other night and I didn't even realize that until you said it. It was missing from our show too. Of course, the last time I saw it was 10 years ago, so I didn't really remember how it went.

We saw them there a few weeks ago. As far as the Giant Ursula float-I believe it's been gone for awhile. Flotsam and Jetsam go really fast. Maybe Ursula can't keep up!

We went in July and saw it three times and they were out everytime. We saw WOC twice that week but the fountains in the roses didn't come on the first night. Glad we saw it the second time.

We were there last week as well & didn't see it the night we went. Our last night at DL, we took our 5 & 9 yr old to the castle to watch the fireworks & no Tink or Dumbo.....lets just say the 5 yr old was beyond distraught!!

I know it doesn't make your kids feel better, but if it's windy at all, Tink and Dumbo can't fly, as it can be dangerous. I don't know for sure if Tink will fly if Dumbo doesn't, but Dumbo's ears on such a large costume are dangerous in high winds!

(In June 2009 we had to see the fireworks show 3 times before we finally managed to see Dumbo.)

I knew about the wind issues....but there wasn't any wind that day....so not sure what happened. I had seen it earlier in the week (when there was a bit of a small breeze) from the train station area & was able to see them...but of course...no camera that night....lol Just kicking myself I didn't get the kids there earlier in the trip.

Fireworks stopped right in the middle one night last week. It was at the Mary Poppins part and it just stopped due to strong winds up high. Good thing we had already seen it. We were shopping when I heard them stop. I'm just glad WOC wasn't canceled!

Is there any way to find out beforehand if Flotsam and Jetsam will be working? Would they know at City Hall? or if we called the help line? We saw F! the other night and I was disappointed because my son has never seen them and they weren't working.

Not sure how many times we will see F! since we will most likely be seeing WoC most nights but would certainly go see F! if we knew they were going to be working.

We saw Fantasmic! on August 1st.

There was no dragon, no Flotsam or Jetsam, and Mickey was at the top at the end, not the bottom where he should have been. Still an amazing show, but Mickey at the top at the end threw me for a loop. It's not where he belongs! hehe

I can't remember where Mickey was, but I'm not familiar with Fantasmic to the point of remembering where Mickey stands at the end.

I had wondered about the Ursula sequence as well. Last night (8/12) at the second showing, there were no eels or Ursula floats. Just the mist screen scenes.

We saw F! On Aug 9 and no Flotsam and Jetsam, no Ursula float, and MIckey didn't reappear at the bottom at the end. We did see the new dragon, however.

The eels & the Mickey problem has been happening for weeks. It doesn't look like it will be getting fixed for a while & I heard the Mickey problem might not be resolved until sometime in the fall.

Flotsom and Jetsom have been missing for a couple of weeks.

The Ursula float hasn't been in the show for YEARS, but yes she used to be there. My understanding is that she sprung a major leak that can't be repaired.
