No Fireworks/Fantillusion next week????

I was just looking at one of the few sources of information on the internet about DLP (dlrpmagic.com) and it states that the fireworks and fantillusion parade do not start until 14th July, yet the park hours are extended starting on 6th July. We are going from the 4th to the 9th July and cannot believe we are going during the height of summer with extended park hours and during the "big" 15th anniversary celebration and they can't roll out a parade and shoot off a few shells. Very disappointing. Anyone have any idea why this would be the case?

My wife and I are from the states, living in the UK for three years and are huge Disney park fans (been to WDW and had annual passes to Disneyland). We love Disneyland Paris, but this is just one example as to why DLP comes up just a bit short on certain things, little details that make it as good as the US parks.

The fireworks commence on Bastille day, so unfortunately you'll miss them by a week.

AFAIK because of complaints from nearby settlements DLP is only able to set of fireworks on set periods throughout the year.

I'm sure with all the other details you'll have a great break at DLP

I can't believe there won't be any fireworks or parades! That is ridiculous. For me, Disney wouldn't be Disney without the parades and fireworks.

But there are parades - every day, in both the Studios and the main Park. And I've never been when theres fireworks, and I've still been liberally sprinkled with the DLP magic as soon as I'm through those gates and can see Sleeping Beauty's castle .

I'm also pretty sure the fireworks, extra parades, events etc are advertised quite well in advance on both the website and in the brochure. I knew what I was getting when I booked - bring on the DLP magic!

You will be able to see 3 parades every day while you are there.
The Walt Disney Studios Parade at 1pm, the "Once upon a dream parade" at 4pm (this one is brand new!) and the Characters Express; a small "parade" in the morning hours.

But it's true you won't see Fantilusion in the evening. But therefore you can also see Candlebration every evening.

You will have a great time with all the parades and shows going on.

i have seen it starts @ 6pm, is this correct?

trying to work out timings, as we want to eat at cafe mickey after candleabration

Candlebration lasts aprox 15 mins. It starts at 6.00 but sometimes when the park is open late they do another show at 9.00. However they dont always advertise this til the day. You could check at City Hall to see if they know earlier on that day. It is much more effective in the dark.
Im sure Ive read somewhere that you can often have a long wait at Mickeys if you go later even if youve booked so dont leave it too late.

But you should keep in mind that after Candleabration many guests who are already standing on Mainstreet are leaving the park. And so you will need some more minutes to get to Cafe Mickey. I would book a table not earlier than 6:45.
