No Fast Pass+ Availability For Rides We Want

Hi!

I'm new to Fast Pass+.

We planned our trip somewhat last minute (two weeks).

I've spent hours trying to plan our Fast Passes but our favorites rides have no availability. Does that mean there won't be any available when we arrive at the park or is it possible we could get Fast Passes for our favorites once the day arrives?

If we just don't book the advanced Fast Passes since the rides we want aren't available, can we just log on that morning at the park and get a Fast Pass?

Thank you!

Disney doesn't hold back then release day of FP+ for attractions, so what you're seeing online is what they're seeing at the park kiosks. Your best bet is to just keep checking multiple times per day. As dates grow nearer, people change plans and release FP+ and ADR that don't fit into their finalized plans.

what are the rides?
The attraction could be under refurbishment
There might not be any more fp left for it
Check every day, several times a day if possible. Don't wait until the day you are going. People cancel plans all the tine.
Also is the fp time you want to get interfering with another fp time you already have? Is it in the same tiers? there are a lot of elements at play here
If you give us more info we might be able to help more

The only rides which are usually all out at seven dwarves at MK and frozen at Epcot...what rides are you looking for? If you want a general idea, Google fastpass+ availability, and you'll see what's available

Good luck

be at the parks at Rope Drop and hurry straight to the attractions you want to ride.

Like kmb584 said, all available FP+ have already been "released", so there won't be anything new on the day you arrive. Best bet is to check in with MDE daily, multiple times per day if you can. People change their plans all the time and drop existing reservations to pick up different ones. Heck, we do it ourselves fairly frequently.

Tell us which rides you're trying to get and we can help you get on them even without FP+.

You could always try to find FP+ for one person and get overlapping times for each person in your party.

In the Everything about FP+ sub forum there is a September cancellation thread. You could check there for anyone cancelling their FP for the rides you want.

The only rides that you should be having trouble finding are 7 Dwarves and Frozen.

Some other popular rides are currently being refurbished which might be able to explain why you can't make FP. Currently Big Thunder Mountain, Its a Small World and Dinosaur are closed. Rockin Roller Coaster is closing at the end of October, but shouldn't effect you if your trip is in 2 weeks

I'm learning that WDW takes an amazing and horrifying amount of planning and forethought, if there are particular things you really want to do or places you really want to eat.

But don't feel too badly about trying to do it at the last minute; I've been planning for MONTHS and still couldn't get the ADRs I wanted. Still working on them and hoping for others to cancel. I might as well be just starting now, for all the good it did me to be on the phone the day ADRs opened for me.

My 60 day window has not begun for FPs, I'm sure I'll be pulling my hair out about those as well when the time comes.

All the advice is to keep trying, things change.... it just takes a great amount of time and repetition.

OK, I have another theory, are you trying to book for MK in the evening? There are Halloween Parties many nights in the next 2 weeks, so if you are searching for MK FP on a party night, you will see no availability.

I'm new to FP too and I noticed that when looking for a FP it will show limited times based on the filter selected at the top. So if morning is selected and there are no morning FP available it will say it didn't find any. You can also click on a link under the pic of the ride to see all the times at once. It took me a little while to notice all this so figured I'd mention it.

Maybe it does for eating, we don't do the dining plan since we stay off property. We bring our own food. The rare occasions we do a sit down restaurant, we've gone to places that done need a reservation, such as Seven Dragons or the restaurant in Morocco.

But I very much disagree that it takes an amazing and horrifying amount of planning and forethought for rides. That seems to be a common notion here, but I just don't see it. We had the double whammy of being off property AND being AP holders. That meant we could only do FP+ 30 days in advance, and could only do 7 days worth of FP+ for a 30 day period. We had a 17 day trip this past June/July, so that mean we could only do our first 7 days of FP+ and couldn't do the next one until we had used up our first (in other words 7 days in advance). With the exception of FEA and 7DMT, we had zero issues getting on the things we wanted to...multiple times. Even FEA and 7DMT were done without FP+ and without a huge wait. The dining part my take crazy planning, I don't know. But I honestly feel bad for people who stress out over ride planning. I agree you want to plan FP+ as soon as you can to get the best picks you can, but beyond that, it's cake.

Truthfully, people make too big a deal about the dining as well. I recently planned a last minute trip for a party of 6 in July and got Ohana dinner less than 2 weeks out. Then we had to change plans, and was able to get Ohana dinner again at 3 days out. Got BOG lunch for the 6 of us the night before. (Could have had PPO breakfast if I had wanted it.)

If you check the app, there are plenty of same day dining reservations available right now. Check the night before, when people are scrambling to cancel to avoid the $10 fee, and you find lots of hard to get reservations.

If you have a MUST DO, or are celebrating a special occasion with a special meal, then I highly recommend 180 day ADR, but if you hate being tied to a dining reservation made 6 months ago, don't sweat it. You won't starve.

So, basically I'm hearing that I am trying to plan too far in advance for my 11/28 - 12/5 trip. I have been unable to get a F! lunch or dinner package for 4 at H&V or MM, or CRT (except at times that absolutely won't work for the 2 year old in my group, such as late evening or in the middle of nap time). But this is a FP thread - and I haven't even begun to work on that yet, as my window hasn't opened. I'm just agonizing in advance!

The F! packages are only offered at inconvenient times by their very nature. They are offered at off times on purpose to keep business at an even keel through out the day. CRT is one that you will truly need to make at 180 days. But you might have luck using the Touring Plans Reservation finder. https://touringplans.com/walt-disney-world/reservation-finder

don't sweat it. Keep checking and if what you want doesn't open up, hit the park at rope drop or just do stand by (gasp). Yes I said it, you can actually do standby and life won't end and your vacation won't be ruined. We never book FP until at the earliest 2 days before, normally the night before. There has never been a time if I wanted to ride a ride and it was running I didn't get to.

Do you have a large party?

Just looking at times and there are plenty of times available unless you want 7DMT or Frozen. For those, arrive at rope drop or get in line at closing.

Thanks, Everyone!

We did really want Mine Train and Frozen. So, am I understanding correctly, there will be no more handed out but some people may cancel the ones they currently have.

Any advice on how to get on these two with out fast passes or a horrific wait?

Correct, no more will be handed out unless someone cancels theirs which could be any day or day of or not at all.

Look for single FP+ for each with overlapping times.

Advice, plan your days to be at each ride at rope drop since getting FP+ will be difficult.

For Mine Train: Book Early Morning Magic, it costs but you'll get to ride it numerous times.

For Frozen: Rope Drop or possibly Extra Magic Hours, particularly at end of night.
