Hi just wondering if you regulars can enlighten us on what the impact of Fantasmic being dark will be?

Fewer crowds at night because everyone heads home instead of waiting around for it, or busier rides, because the lull while everyone waits/watches Fantasmic is gone?

Or do the fireworks kind of cancel any impact anyway?

Things will be crowded as usual without Fantasmic. Tourist are there at night to do rides not Fantasmic except on one day. Locals usually come for Fantasmic will then come for rides, the new parade, and the fireworks.

Not many people live for Fantasmic and Fireworks so most people will just continue riding rides, eating, and watching fireworks. I am local and am going back to see stuff for a few hours at a time so that I do not get worn out and bored with the park. I am there for the food and rides not Fantasmic and Fireworks.

We were there this past week. Fantasmic was running on Fri, Sat, Sun only.......not during the week. DL was very busy and we went back into the park at night a couple times on week nights, and I would say that it seemed just as busy at night as it did during the day.

I think the plus about no Fantasmic is the crowds in Frontierland, New Orleans Square and all that are gone. There are no CMs guiding you and no craziness trying to go to Critter Country or New Orleans Square. If we're not watching Fantastmic! we usually avoid that entire area, but for a couple months we won't have to.

Just giving this a bump... now that F! has stopped, anyone got any comments on how crowds have been affected?

The main effect of a Fantasmic! refurbishment is that you don't get the giant crowds that occur when it releases it's first-showing Guests just as the fireworks go off.

It'll still be crowded, but it won't be as noticeable, particularly at the Frontierland/Adventureland entrance, which can become impassable on summer nights when both F! and Pyro are running.
