No Expiration tickets

I spoke with a WDW CM last week. We have No-Expiration tickets already. She told me that wile Disney is not selling these tickets anymore, if you already have them you can add days to your tickets and they will not expire. You only pay the regular price to add on the day and get the No Expiration for free. What a great deal for anyone who has these tickets! We have 3 day hopper no expiration tickets and will be adding 3 more days to them. The CM quoted me $50 per day per ticket! :yay::yay::yay: You have to do this at the park.

I wouldn't rely on that information. I expect you will be disappointed.

First, why do you have a three-day no-expiration ticket? That seems like a really strange ticket to purchase. If you've already used some days, then it cannot be upgraded. Second, additional days are closer to $10, not $50. So, either the CM figured in the no-expiration price, or they have no idea what they're talking about.

Will be following this thread. We have three different park hopper, no expiration tickets with 1-2 days left on them (originally 7 day). We just go to a park 1 day per year while we winter in Florida. One of my tickets is probably 20 years old - have been saving it in case just one of the kids happens to come down and wants to do a Disney day!

You definitely cannot upgrade those tickets.

Let us know what happens when you try to do this. Are you going soon?

We also have non-expiring tickets and think this would be great.
But hard to believe. Let us know more.

Don't see this as being allowed, I have a couple 5 day that I would add too if this is possible.
Would love to see someone try this at park and hear the outcome.

Since they used to have 10 day non-expiration tickets, I suppose it might be possible for them to add non-expiring days to get the total to 10 (but I think it unlikely). In other words, if you'd purchased a 5 day non-expiring ticket, I could conceivably see them making a case for you adding another 5 days on to it. I can't see them allowing you to ever go past 10, though, and I honestly doubt that you'll be able to do anything. (Though I'm very hopeful that, within a year or two, we'll see the non-expiring option come back.)

Hopefully, as mel&me said, someone will try this out and let us know the result.

We purchased 3 day hopper no-expiration tickets for my son, daughter-in-law and 2 grandsons three years ago when my youngest grandson was born. During a week, you can't spend everyday at the parks with children that young. We will be using them this November (kids 2 1/2 and 4). They may go again before kids turn 10, so they may as well add some days if possible. No way can you add a day to an existing ticket for $10. We added a day to a 6 day base ticket (5 days were already used) last year for $28.

Yes, you can. The cost to add an additional day to most 4 or more day tickets is $10 plus tax. You should read posts #6 and #22 of the Everything About WDW Tickets sticky for more information.

The three-day no-expiration ticket cost about the same as two two-day regular tickets. I guess, if you were only ever going to visit one day over the course of three trips, it would barely be worth the cost. A three-day no-expiration is just a really hard ticket to cost-justify.

You can never, ever, add a day to a ticket after 14 days from first use. When we talk about adding days, we're talking about unused tickets.

When you add a day, you're actually exchanging the ticket for one with more days on it. The price difference between each day after 4 is $10.65. That's all it should cost you with a base ticket. The no-expiration option comes at an extra cost per day, so going from 5 to 6 would cost you almost $65.

CM quoted me $50 per day per ticket!
This is vaguely the cost of adding a (nonexpiring) day to a nonexpiring ticket as of a year ago. Day #7 cost a little more; day #6 cost a little less.
As was mentioned, the cost of adding a (non-nonexpiring) day to a 4 or more day non-nonexpiring ticket is about $11.

You were overcharged, unless there was some circumstance you did not mention.
Psst! Can you explain where the $28. came from based on the schedule of ticket prices published by Disney and/or by Undercover Tourist? Does not have to be exact but you should not have to take an color glossy photograph of the ticket and put circles and arrows on the photograph and a paragraph on the back like they do in Common Core math and where the judge with the seeing eye dog isn't going to look at the photograph*. My explanation of where the $11 came from: The difference between the cost of a 6 day ticket and the cost of a 5 day ticket as posted above the ticket booths last year.

The cost of the non-expiration option varied with number of days on the ticket, 3 day $50, 4 day $100, 5 day $160 and so on. so based on 2014 prices for the NE option and 2015 prices for the extra day, the cost to add a day to any 4 day ticket is $10 plus tax. The non-expiring option on a 4 day ticket was $100, the non expiring option on a 5 day ticket $160, so to upgrade a 4 day non-expiring to a 5 day non-expiring should be $70?

Curious to see if anyone is able to add days to non-expiring tickets. Seems unlikely but if it is possible, we have tickets we would love to add days too.

Spoke with a ticket broker today. They couldn't honor the ticket they sold me a few weeks back. I asked if there's a possibility of upgrading. The person said no because the broker had tried to do that with the tickets they have ... ie they only had 7d hp and were not able to go to a gate and upgrade to 10d or even add a WP on there.

Can you please clarify your post? What do you mean they wouldn't honor the ticket they sold you?

The store/agent could not complete the sale (honor your purchase), because they found out perhaps a few minutes later later they had no more tickets of that kind in stock to fill your order. So you would get a refund or you could choose something else they had in stock.

Furthermore, even if they did have similar but smaller tickets in stock, it would not make sense for the ticket agent to do the legwork and go to Disney and upgrade them to exactly what you want, even if that transaction were possible. For trade in purposes, the tickets, being unused, would have only the wholesale value based on what the ticket agent paid for them, which would be less than last year's gate price.

I bought 10day ne wphp tickets. They oversold. All they had left today were less than 10 days and shorter days with the water parks option. I purchased 3+weeks ago. They did not contact me until close to the expected arrival dates of the tickets. I doubt I'll be buying tickets from there in the future. We're lucky we didn't need those tickets anytime soon. I can imagine someone missing their FP+ booking dates and being really upset.
