No Expiration Ticket Question

My DH has a 7-day ticket with the park hopper and no expiration options. It has been used twice with 5 days remaining. He wants to add the water park option now. Is it too late? I called and was told by a CM that she thought it could still be added. Wondering if anyone has done this. If it is able to be added, would it be 5 days of water park admissions or 7?

Correct. 14 days it is. I've added days but only within the 14 day window.
