Do they have the no expiration option on Disneyland tickets? I have to go to LA for a doctor's appointment. I really want to go to Disneyland, but I'd rather not pay the $94 dollars for the one day park hopper ticket. I haven't been there since DCA opened up, so I would definitely want to do both parks. If that's what I have to pay, then I'm going to forgo it. I'd rather buy like a 6 day hopper and use it the next time I'm down for another doctor's appointment... It just doesn't seem worth it to me to pay almost $100 for one day, plus taxi fare to get there, plus food, etc. :confused3

Thank you. That really stinks. No Disney for me then. :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: Excuse me while I go cry now. That's so disappointing.

:) Disneyland's online site is currently offering a Deluxe Annual Pass for $239. This would enable you to go as many times as you want within a year. There are some blockout days so you'd want to check that out. Other than the Annual Passes, all tickets have an expiration time of 13 days (if I'm remembering correctly) from the first day of usage.

Thank you very much for the info! Don't worry about the double posting. Better to have the info twice than not at all! :thumbsup2

I just kind of figured that since WDW had it that they would have it at Disneyland too.

I will look into the AP, thanks for the info. I'm just not sure how many times I'll be down there so I don't know if it would be a good deal or not. Guess I'll wait until I talk to the doctor. If I'll be down there more than a couple of times in the next year, I just might very well do that. I wouldn't be down there during the crowded times, so blackout dates wouldn't bother me.

honugirl, I'm in WA too, and once you have that AP, it's amazing how many trips you suddenly find yourself having. :goodvibes

You could buy that AP and add a couple days to your appointment trip, then for your next appt have a few more days, and so on and so forth. You check out the SW, Virgin America, and AA websites obsessively, er, thoroughly, you see a terrific fare, you go. Etc etc and so on and so forth.

It's astonishing, how many opportunities come up (if only in your head; sometimes the wallet doesn't agree with you) to get down there, once you have admission-for-the-year in your wallet.

Thanks! Yes, it's true how in your mind you can think of all those Disney trips. I wish I could afford to spend more time down there. We'll see though. I'll have a computer so I can always buy one online when I'm there I guess. Temptation for me is bad though...... I would be down there every day if I could!!!!!!

No, just a major turtle lover!:lovestruc Spent a lot of time there on vacation with my parents though. That's where I picked up the honu. :thumbsup2

I've been trying to price a Costco package online, but it keeps giving me an error message. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Maybe I'm just not supposed to go there this time....:sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

I really need some pixie dust! pixiedust: Things just have to go well on this trip. If I can make it to DL, it would really re-energize me.

I hope that you feel better, and real soon too. :)
I was wondering, if you could visit Disneyland, for more than one day? If so, the two day park hopper tickets, that I can best recall would be $169.00. The special $30.00 discount for the regular (Deluxe) Annual Pass, would be just (he he!) $70.00 more. So if you could visit Disneyland again, within your AP, time frame, then the savings even more so, will begin to quickly add up. :) You could also upgrade to the AP, once at Disneyland.

Maybe I'm just not supposed to go there this time....

Oh my! please do not think that. :flower3:
It just means that so many people are shopping Cost co on line at this time, that the internet is experiencing a traffic jam. So most definitely look into your package deal again, when there are less drivers out there. :)

ah, i had to ask. i'm originally from hawaii...and i even have a honu tattoo on my ankle...LOL!

good luck with your planning! i hope you make it to DL soon!

Costco package? Eh, you can probably do better. But if you really want a package, just call them. Lovely people, the Costco-branded CMs. :goodvibes

Thanks bumbershoot, I didn't really want a Costco package, but figure that if I had to get a hotel anyway, I'd at least price it out. If it's close to the same price as the hotel I was going to go with, then I'd be staying in Anaheim rather than Beverly Hills (not my style, but it's across the street from my doctor's office!). :thumbsup2 I wish they'd put a value resort in at Disneyland. I'd be there all the time! :wizard: It would be no contest if that were the case...

Thanks Northshoremama. Do you have a pic of the tattoo? I was thinking about getting one. I had the best time off Maui once swimming next to a giant honu. It was awesome! I didn't want to get out of the water!

Thanks Gisele! I started trying at 4 am my time (because of my tumor and resulting disease, my diurnal rhythm has flipped so I'm up all night... :sad2: :scared1: ) to price the Costco package. I just tried again a couple of minutes ago and got the same message. I like your philosophy though. :thumbsup2

You should get a hamster, those cute little guys are nocturnal too. :)
They can keep you company, as you type away on your computer. They can be spinning away, in their habi trail wheel. Or in their plastic ball. Just keep them away (hamsters) from cats, and dogs, especially cats.
O.k. now my other thought, regarding Cost Co's website, is that you know how typically a site might be down for a while during the evening and through out the early morning, due to maintenance issues. So I figure it is probably just a matter of that being the case then. If all else fails, I would just go and call Cost Co. to ask them about their website issues. Maybe it is not a matter of site maintenance. I believe that it is though.

:lmao: Ha ha ha ha. If my doctors weren't spread out completely across the country (neuro-ophthalmology in Boston, neurosurgeon in Houston, and endocrinologist in LA) I'd have a pet. I don't spend much time at home. Once it's all said and done though, a hamster might be a good choice... :thumbsup2

I'll try again in a bit, if I don't get someone I'll call them. Why stay in Beverly Hills when you can stay at the DLR????????????? I mean hello, Rodeo Drive or Mickey ::MickeyMo ??? High fashion or Mickey Mouse ears? :earsgirl: I think we all know the answer to that one......:rolleyes1

I'm just going to need some pixiedust: and :wizard: to make this all work. I wish my WDW AP worked at DLR. I had no idea I'd be heading to LA to see this doc until a week ago... :scared1:

Maybe my computer is having issues. I couldn't get into the AP site the other day and now I can. So maybe I should go try again......popcorn::

From your sig, I take it you have an ECV? With the ECV could you stay, for instance, at HoJo? I've heard from WDW people that that's like a Value, and you can get good prices on it.

Ooh, I'm getting the error message too:

We are sorry, but there was a problem processing your request. Please try again

If you continue to have technical difficulties, please call us at (877) 849-2730.
Remember: If you are under 18 years of age, you must have your parent or guardian's permission to dial this number.

Tried for PPH and HoJo and got the same thing. They must be having issues.

When are you going, by the way?

I just went to AAA.com to see if I can access the Disneyland booking area from there, and got the same error.

Hmm. Tried disneland.com directly, and it's giving me options there. Since you get to the disneyland portal, just with different wording around it and offers, using aaa or costco, I thought it was going to be a disneyland.com problem, but I guess not!

Odd.

Bumbershoot, I'm headed down there on the 11th of November. My Dr's appointment is on the 12th, then other scans and stuff scheduled as necessary.

Thanks for trying! At least I know now that it's not just me. :confused3

I've got no problem with HoJo. I just like that Disney magic, you know? :smickey:
