I checked the sticky post re: WDW tix but I may have skimmed past it...I'm sure someone knows the answer, though.

Are no expiration hopper passes transferable? Can I gift unused days to my brother-or is that frowned upon?

TIA.

they're not supposed to be transferable. If you used some days on the ticket, then you must have done the whole "finger scan" thing. If someone else went to use it later, the finger scans would not match. I don't really know what happens after that though :confused3 sorry...not much help am I??

Not only frowned on, but illegal. There's a non-transfer clause right on the ticket now, isn't there?

Oh no, no you misunderstand-I haven't purchased the tix at all yet. Just looking into the current prices/options and this just wasn't clear anywhere.

Thanks for the clarification.:)

not only is it illegal and unethical but it wont work. When you enter for the first time they scan your fingerprint for entry. If someone else were to scan their finger it would come up invalid entry and they will be questioned where they got the ticket, holding up the line, and being quite embarrased, AND having to purchase new tickets.

I actually used my uncle's un-used day in April that he was not planning on using and I got in no problem. My finger scan did not match, but after a few trys they just re-scanned my finger. Not saying it works evey time, but I was not hauled away in handcuffs and I did not have to lie about where I got the ticket because they did not ask. :)

If the tickets are discounted FL resident tickets, they can't be used at the gate unless you produce a valid FL ID.
If that's not the case, nevermind.;)

I am not sure how that is stealing since the tickets are already PAID for. Does it matter who did the paying?

Because each successive day on a ticket is cheaper than the last.

If 2 people bought a 10 day ticket (which costs $237) and shared it, it would be considerably cheaper than if each of them bought a 5 day ticket (which cost $222 each, for a total of $444). Disney would lose quite a bit of money if they allowed this.

Not that it matters anyway, since it is against Florida state law.

I did not realize that it was against Florida state law and do apologize if I offended anyway with my unlawfulness. I have no intention of doing it again. :confused3 Again, sorry for my ignorance.

By the way, all Disney tickets regardless of vintage, even one-days, are not transferable. While such usage may be illegal, what counts is Disney's own rule unless overridden by state, etc. law.
