I called to make a change (add a couple of days) to an upcoming October trip to BCV and though I was able to get the additional days with no problem, I was told that my request of Epcot view was no longer available. The cm said that there is no longer an Epcot View available. Does anyone know anything more about this? I can't imagine that there still aren't rooms where the view of Epcot is quite good, but perhaps I'm wrong. We'll have a great time regardless, but I'm curious as to what's going on with no more 'Epcot View'. :earsgirl:

The Soarin' show building now sits between many BCV rooms and Epcot. IMO, it doesn't block much, so this move is quite nonsensical.

Ask MS what you should request to get that side of the resort. Perhaps non-pool view. :confused3

Thanks, the thread was interesting and I had thought that perhaps MS was having too many Epcot View requests. I think I will take up the suggestion to ask what to request to get the Epcot side. Dh and I enjoy sitting out on our balcony because it's so peaceful and also to catch some of the fireworks that are a little higher in the sky.
Like I said, we'll be happy just being there BUT an upper floor facing Epcot is our favorite.

that is what we were told on our last trip from the cm at check in, i asked for a view to see the fireworks and was told you cant see the fireworks from the BCV, hmmm i was there for christmas and had a great 2 bedroom dedicated with a hugh rap around balcony that i seen the fireworks every night. :rotfl:

'Vacation Home Facing Epcot' ....I love it! Truthfully, we've only gotten our Epcot View request 2 times out of 6 visits so I'm okay with whatever we get.....BUT I will have to call just to add the 'Vacation Home Facing Epcot'. :earsgirl:

we were lucky enough to have a pretty good view of fireworks two weeks ago. Our trip to beach club before the last one, we had a decent view of fireworks, but we noticed that there would be a really good view from this one set. This trip we lucked in to that room location, but it was on the third floor, so it was a bit low. You could see all the fireworks though above the trees. Fourth or fifth floor right above us would have been about the best view in the house, imho. BCV is great.
