No Email Notification of Posts!!!

I have not been receiving email notifications of posts.
Is it just me?

I haven't been getting them either. I usually have around 10 every morning. Nothing so far! What's going on? Hmmm....

No, they haven't been coming through for a while now. Sort of sad everyone was so excited about the 'upgrade' and after the first few hours, it runs about as slow as usual and no notifications. At least we use to have that.

This was posted on another thread asking the same question.

The emails are going out. Many people are recieving them. If you are not recieving them your ISP is choosing to block them. We are working witht he various ISP's to enable the delivery of mail but it takes time.


Please DON'T go in and try to change your email account in your DIS profile!!! You have to verify the change with an email from the DIS! Since you won't get the email you won't be able to verify it and then you end up in Registered User limbo until it can be fixed.

Please just be patient. You can always find out if there are new posts to your subscribed threads by going to your Subscription List-- Go up to the tool bar at the top, !uick Links on the top Right and select Subscribed Threads. If the thread is in bold then there are new posts.

I too noticed as of yesterday (or day before ) that I was no longer getting email alerts of new PMs. I thought it was just me since I recently changed my email address (and server). Glad to hear disboards is trying to resolve the problem. FYI my new server is att.net (DSL). Thanks.

There have been no changes in my ISP for the last year...so why would I receive email notifications all that time and then it all of a sudden stopped?

I still receive email notifications for other message boards I am on.

Between my notifications stopping and not being able to use the "new posts" function... my disboards time has NOT been very efficient of late!

The DIS's address has changed with the server switch, so your ISP no longer recognizes it. It would be like if a friend of yours got a new cell phone and didn't tell you. If you screen all of your calls and only answer numbers that you recognize you wouldn't answer these calls from her because you would think it was someone you didn't know and didn't want to talk to.

Your ISP, and many others, keep hanging up on us, or won't accept our calls.

Anything that my ISP (Verizon Fios) considers SPAM they place in a separate folder that I can monitor... there are no disboards emails there either. I checked there before posting the first time.

I am not thinking that this is a problem on our end, too many people are complaining about it.

Me neither... none... nada... for about three days! I am sure it is a glitch and will be worked out soon! I have mail.com and it lets anything through! Spam runs rampant so I know it is not blocking the Dis! I get some unspeakable emails (I don't open any of them... but the subject line speaks volumes)! I am also " a winner" of daily, sometimes several times daily, some type of drawing or lottery, and apparently I have the ability to by many types of medications! Gees! I hope the Dis gets it worked out soon, I love the email reminders!

for now I can tell you that webmasteralex and the team are working on it
