No Easter greetings from Google??

I find it hard to get all worked up about which holidays an online search engine chooses to celebrate with a graphic. :confused3
I completely agree. Seriously, people getting offended over Google trying not to offend? :lmao:

Of course they can...my point was that Saint Patrick's Day is a religious holiday, just as Easter is. There is no getting around that. So why is it okay to do stuff on the webpage for one but not the other? Who decides which one is offensive as being too religious? :confused3

Google should either do stuff for all of the holidays or none.

I'm sorry if I was hard to understand- I was agreeing with you! :thumbsup2

I don't think having a discussion about something, even a disagreement with their reasonings, means you are "offended." Seriously. Why be upset that people are discussing it?:lmao:

I think you're confusing "disappointment" with "offense". For me, it's just a real head scratcher that Google opts to shun some secularized holidays with religious origins and not others. But hey, it's their web site, so it's their call. If St. Lucia Day is fine, but Christmas is deemed "too controversial"... then so be it. I find it odd, but I'm not calling for a Google boycott.

Some of the Google holiday Icon's need you to do something in order to see it. For the Easter logo do the following: in the search line type in 'google easter eggs', then click on the' I'm feeling lucky button'. There you will find your google easter logo. Hope that helps!!

Yep I just stumbled on to a site with tons of Google eggs, only they aren't Easter eggs in the real world sense, they are Easter eggs in the computer world (hidden features in video games, movies, websites, etc). Of course, now I can't find the site that showed all the different ones...but I will continue looking. So don't hate Google....they had Easter Eggs, just not the tradional ones!:thumbsup2

Found it! http://www.i-am-bored.com/bored_link.cfm?link_id=25048

Just watch the demonstration of how to get to the different eggs.

To me, the fun thing about the Google holiday greetings are when they're unexpected. It's pretty hard not to know that it's Christmas Day or Easter, and I'm not on the computer much on those days, anyway, so I really don't care whether they choose to adorn their logo for those days or not. It's fun when you go to Google and see that it's Einstein's birthday or Bastille Day, though.
