No Disney Dollars???

Hi!
I'm not sure if this was the correct forum in which to ask this, but here goes: I was at the Disney store today trying to buy Disney Dollars to give as prizes in an Easter Egg hunt for some children that are going to WDW next week, and I was told that there were no Disney dollars available at the stores because they were changing them to honor the 50th Disneyland Anniversary.

HAs anyone else encountered this? Seems odd that the stores would have no Disney Dollars available during the busy Spring Break/Easter season. Why didn't they do this in January when things are slow? It seems like very poor planning to me. The manager of the store said that he has been turning folks away for weeks.

This is very true and pretty disappointing for us cast members. It was a really bad time to have no disney dollars, but on top of that we are out of the Adult Hopper Passes!! It is nuts esp. being that its spring break and people are planning for summer vacations. We finally heard that May we should be getting stuff back in, but thats no good for people like you and me that need them now. O well, what can we do, we are just cast members and guests

You can still get Disney Dollars by faxing the following #1-407-566-5645.
You have to fax your name,address,credit card # and denominations up to $50 and they will FedEx the DD to at a cost of $10. I was alittle worried about this but I faxed them and asked for someone to call me and I had a return call back in a few minutes. I think it's WDW ticketing who does this (sorry I forget ) Hope this helps.

Master Grayson has the correct information. It seems as though some of the Guest Relations locations have been getting calls for Disney Dollars transferred to them, and they can't sell anything over the phone, including Disney Dollars, and that is upsetting the guests.
