No DDP with AP and PIN?

When I booked my room with a PIN yesterday I asked if I could add a hopper for DS and DDP. I was told no since I had a code. I know that's not true if everyone is buying tickets, but is it different when one person is an AP holder or was I misinformed

There are dining packages for AP holders that do not require ticket purchases.
And there are packages that require everyone to buy the same type of ticket who is included with the dining package.
It could be you are using a package discount code that is not an AP discount/package code.

AP holders can only add dining to rack rate rooms or rooms discounted with an AP rate. You can not add AP dining to a room with a PIN or a AAA discount etc.
