We are thinking of booking a quick 3 night trip for next month. We already have park tickets so no DDP. Plus this needs to be a cheap trip so no table services. I think we will be staying at Pop. The only counterservices we eat at regularly are EoS and Sommergarten. Any suggestions? I think we'll be spending alot of time in the parks. I really don't like typical hot dog, burger and fries fast food junk. Thanks.

MK: Columbia Harbour House, Pecos Bill's
DHS: Starring Rolls, Backlot Express
Epcot: Sunshine Seasons, Tangierine Cafe
AK: Flame Tree BBQ

Studio Catering Company at the Studios has a nice deli sandwich or a buffalo chicken sandwich (all liked by my group a few weeks ago). We like Flame Tree BBQ at Animal Kingdom or just even the egg rolls there. Of course, Epcot has a ton of different things but I'd recommend the nachos from Mexico, the eggs rolls or pot stickers from China, or the fish and chips from the UK. If you want to go outside that park, you can go over to the Boardwalk for the pizza window or Boardwalk To Go. Not much help on Magic Kingdom since we don't spend a lot of time there. I'd say Cosmic Ray's or Columbia Harbor House.

All of these are counter service and I've had good experiences with them. I'm not a burger/fry/hot dog person either. In fact, I'd be hard pressed to say the last time I've eaten a burger at Disney World.

Sounds like us -- we like the convenience of CS since we can eat when we want to, but none of us usually eat fries.

In AK we love Flame Tree but we hate Yak & Yeti take-out.

MK usually Pinocchio's House for pizza although we often go to Pecos Bills for the one burger of the trip (the toppings bar there makes a huge difference).

In DHS we either go to Prime Time or Sci Fi -- they are TS, I know, but you're ordering off a real menu so we think the prices are as reasonable as CS and the food and experience are much better than any CS in DHS. Having said that, if we're going to f! we grab something from the pizza place across the road and eat in the seats while we wait for the show.

Epcot has so many great CS places in world showcase -- you just can't go wrong there.

We do a lot of counter service . . .we never do table service unless it's a special occasion . . . I would suggest to get away from burgers, Pecos Bills has a nice taco bowl, Columbia Harbor House has a fried shrimp basket or their tuna sandwich and clam chowder which is awesome! I have to tell ya, I rarely eat a burger while visiting WDW . . .there are so many other counter service options . . .I like a nice salad at lunch time and then for dinner we'll do pizza or a sandwich or soup, etc . . .Epcot is awesome for different counter service options . . .China has a great counter service(Lotus Garden) and we get the fried shrimp with the egg roll . . .sometimes the orange chicken . . .

The DDP is very comparable to paying OOP . . .we most always pay OOP when we go.

The works bar makes Pecos Bill & Cosmic Ray a real deal. The taco salad comes with meat & the shell - then we hit the works bar - hot sliced mushrooms, salsa, veggies, melted cheese, even salad dressings. We load up one & don't eat the shell so we can add some more goodies later. It's a good way to get a salad & skip the meat & shell if not wanted! DH & I split 1 taco salad; same with a cheeseburger & fries because we put so much stuff on the hamburger.

p.s. I'm not sure that Cosmic Ray has a taco salad, but they have a great chicken & ribs combo plate.

Another favorite of ours is Starring Rolls. We split a ham sandwich, chips, & a cupcake - yum, yum.

We did the QSP and found so many good CS places to eat. We only had a burger once.

Epcot- Tangerine Cafe in morroco, Cantina in mexico.
MK- Cosmic rays- way more options than just burgers, we liked the meatball subs at pinnoccio's as well which are big enough to share.
DHS- Pizza planet is a fav we know its not gourmet pizza but we like it.
AK- Never eaten CS there.

DTD- we love Wolf Gang Puck Express in the market place its awesome food at CS prices.

Resort wise we were staying at POR but the choices at the food court there were great.
