I love your pre-trip report. Be glad you didn't wait any longer to book a room on the 13th. I wasn't able to get anything I could work with on the 13th, so we're off property that night. We'll be at WDW the 13th to the 20th. I'll keep an eye out for you, Stitch and Crocky.

If you see us, yell! I'm usually too far off in my own world to notice what's going on

That sucks about no rooms on the 13th! I checked the website, and it only showed an All Star family suite for $200 that day. I guess it will be REALLY busy! That's why I'm curling up at AKL and not coming out till the crowds leave! Swing by and share the zebra domes if you want!

We are at Pop from the 13th to the 19th. Will the 13th - 15th really be that crowded? I goofed when I booked this vacation several months ago. For some reason I thought MLK was the next weekend, seems early this year. I thought I picked the perfect time. This is our first January trip. Will all the lines be long? Is MK the park to avoid on Monday? At least all our adrs are booked.

I've searched the DIS a few times, and it sounds like it won't be *that* bad. Busy for January, but not bad compared to the really busy times of year. Of course, I've never been during this time, so I guess I'll be finding out for sure in a couple of weeks!

I'm glad you're hitting WL & BC on this trip, I've been agonizing over resort choices for my (hopeful) solo trip next May - I know I want to stay at BC, but am torn between WL and Poly for the other half of my stay. Overall I like the idea of Poly better (the theming, the monorail) but WL is about $300 cheaper....hmmm!!!!
I can relate to your scraps of paper with Disney figures all over them...I have the same thing, but all in Excel Spreadsheets (I'm organized like that!). Oh the tough decisions we DISers have to make

My to-do list is about eighty miles long- Eep! And I keep thinking of more and more things to add to it!

One week, y'all. One week.

I'm in that last minute freaking out phase. What am I forgetting? What do I still need to do? Should I pack more than one pair of shorts? Should I pack my coat, or just a sweatshirt? Do I want any more ADRs? What do I still need to do that I haven't done? Am I actually going to get the house cleaned before I go, as I keep telling myself I should?

Should I maybe just calm down a little bit?

The main thing I need to do is finish organizing my eight million billion notes, and print out what I need to take with me. You should SEE all of the lists I have. I probably even have a list of my lists!

I really want to finish packing, but most of what I have left to pack I'll need before then (toothbrush, makeup, etc!), so I have to put it off. I just want to feel like I'm making progress!

I've finally hit the point where I can check the 10 day weather on weather.com, and part of my trip is included! Thankfully, it's supposed to be sunny and 50 here on the day I leave! Anyone remember the day I left for my Feb trip? Yikes! Very glad that won't be a repeat!

My only real weather worry is Chicago. When I checked the 10 day yesterday, it was showing snow showers on my travel day (which has a layover in Chicago.) I just checked again, and it's showing sun and 40- whew! I really don't want to get stuck in Illinois!

Orlando is showing some rain showers on my arrival day, but since I won't even get there until almost midnight, it's no big deal. It looks like it will be in the mid 70s for the beginning of my trip- yay!

I'm filling up my iPod with fun music and podcasts for the flight- any suggestions? For my recent trip to Mexico, I made a CD of all flight related songs, which was harder than you'd think!

You should check out Accuweather.com - they have a 15 day forecast you can check out for your trip! I'm not sure any forecast is very accurate that far out, but it is so exciting to see your trip days on the forecast!

Oooh, 15 day forecast! (Insert Homer Simpson drool here) Chicago can't seem to make up its mind on if it's going to snow on the 8th or not- the forecast changes every day! Next time, I'm getting a layover somewhere warm!

Crystal, this is wonderful reporting! I love it. Looks like you have a mere 3 days to go before your trip begins. Needless to say I can totally relate to your lists and even your list of lists, lol! After a while all those pieces of paper with various notes, budgets, restaurants etc just did my head in. I had so many of them! lol!!

Enjoy the excitement of the 'nearly there' build up! And write more a.s.a.p!
