We came back to our room a while ago to find that although we had new towels, there was no refill of our creamer, sugar, and no new coffee packet. So I called the front desk and was told "Oh, no-they just do the trash and give you new towels. How many coffee creamers do you need? There may be a charge." So I said "A charge! Can't we just get some from Goods to Go?" Tonight we'll just pick up some when we go for dinner. Seems we used to get our coffee, creamer, and sugar replenished. On the up side, at least we got several more bottles of shampoo and conditioner. The bottles are so tiny, they last about two-three showers. So at least that was nice.

I recall getting re stocked on all those sundry type items on Trash & Towel Day.

When use call the Front Desk, you don't get the front desk, you get an off-site call center.

From the member website:
With Trash & Towel service, Housekeeping will:
  • Empty trash and replace liners in trash bins.
  • Provide fresh bathroom linens.
  • Replace bath amenities as needed.
  • Replenish facial tissues, paper towels and toilet paper.
  • Replenish coffee, sugar, cream and sweeteners.

Gee, maybe someone should train the call center on the correct information. Forgive me for picking up the phone, pushing the "front desk" button, and expecting the information they give me to be correct.

I hate hearing things like this. DVC's been operating more than a decade, they should be able to get this right!

Call housekeeping, they are the ones that will bring it not Front Desk.

We were in the room last week when they brought our towels. (DD was in the shower at the time). They asked if I needed coffee and such. Since I was there until Fri they gave me 2 coffees and plenty of creamers (didn't need sugar).

It's always best to contact the department that you need - ie, for housekeeping items then call housekeeping, if somethings broke - call maintenance. If they didn't have buttons for them then a call to the front desk would be all you could do.

Just back from a 7 night stay at AKL and on T&T day, no coffee refill. Just towels and trash. I think Disney has started skimping on DVC members.

We go often and we've always been replenished and when we haven't, my DH finds the housekeeping and will ask. We leave on Tuesday (yea) and will be staying at 4 different resorts (2 1/2 week trip-AKV/BWV/VB/BLT), so will be watching to see if they are cutting back. I agree though that the website says these items are replenished on T&T/FC days. I do find that some resorts are more generous than others.

I don't think that it's cutting back, it's Mousekeepers who want to get in and out as fast as they can.

Each day they clean an average of 8 rooms, some check outs, some full cleaning and some T&T. Sometimes things get over looked.

We always pick up a creamer from the grocery store to have the whole week. But the sugars/sweeteners tend to run out in a day or two. I find myself snagging a few here and there from restaurants we visit during the week ;)

I also love the Tide individual packs they sell in the travel section at Target for $1. I always throw a few in for a trip as I like to do laundry every day and mousekeeping never leaves enough detergent to keep up with our laundry cycles.

Just got the TT 1 hour ago. They left plenty of coffee, shampooing , soap, etc..
They even gave us a new bottle of dish soap because mine was nearly empty...
