Just booked our airfare for an "adults only trip" to Disney ...

November 13-17 :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I will be turning 40 this fall but at least I will be in Disney :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Just wanted to share my excitement !!!!!!

We are not telling the kids just yet ;) ;) ;)

I think if you turn 40 at disney it dosen't really count;)
Sort of like calories don't count on your birthday:rolleyes1

woo! hoo! Just booked our Orlando condo today! We are also doing an adults only trip for my 40th during November! Cannot wait!:cool1:

We are doing an Adult only trip in December 4-8. We tell the kids right up front. People always say I can't believe you go without your kids in which I say "look my kids are in no way denied they go to Disney once a year. For crying out loud my 5 year old has been 3 times and my 2 year old 2 times. Plus they go to the Beach for a week." But I also make sure to tell the kids up front! I know they are young but I figure if they get used to it now, it won't be so hard when they get older. Mommy and Daddy need alone time.

I do feel a little guilty about going alone but I know that our teenagers will be "OK" with our "adults only" trip. We did one a few years ago and while they missed us and we missed them it was good for everyone. We need time away and so do they :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
We do go to Disney at least once a year with the kids so they are definitely not deprived and this year they also went to China for Spring Break with their Grandfather and I took them to Japan for almost a month to visit my sister/their Aunt (she is active military stationed in Okinawa.)

I am actually turning 40 in October but we are BIG TIME MARCHING BAND Parents so we can not get away during the fall ... November is a GREAT TIME to visit Disney anyways!!!!!!

Perhaps if there is anyone else out there turning the big 40 and going at the same time we could all meet up for a drink and fireworks (Illuminations is my all time favorite ... There is nothing better than having a drink at the Rose and Crown Pub and watching the fireworks.)

:woohoo:

My DH and I are also going without kids this trip, Nov. 9-16, and on the 13th will be at EPCOT, so a 40-ish party would be great!!! We miss my (almost 40)birthday in October, but can't go until November because DH is still deployed. DH turns 40 next February, but won't mind starting early.. :rotfl:

Also, thinking about the fireworks cruises.. if anyone wants to share one of those? Still trying to find out info on them, but they sound like a good way to watch the fireworks...

DH and I will be having a no kids trip in Nov too!
I just its the month for grownups gone wild

So how many 40ish couples are we up to for the month of November now? And where is the party each night! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

FYI we were 38 when we went.

enjoy your trip with your "inner KID":thumbsup2 we did this a few years ago and had a blast. leave your cell phones in the room or you will be checking them often. :headache:

I am so glad to see that parents are taking some time out for just the two of them. My husband and I are considering this as well only for a couple of days. I was not thinking and asked other their thoughts on the subject and was reamed up one side and down the other. I was told my decision was "just wrong". It is refreshing to know that so many are taking time out for them without kids. Sort of reconnect after many years of being disconnected.

We just got back from a mini trip with just my hubbie and I. Our four kids had to stay home with the grandparents. They were a bit miffed, but we do take them every year so they don't have that much to complain about.

Now the people on the magical express bus really couldn't believe that we left our kids at home! It was their first trip and they couldn't fathom going without the kids. To each their own!

DH and I also going in Nov (14th - 22nd). No kids for us either as ours are grown. Both of us are also in our 40's. Can't wait, this is our first time to Disneyworld. We're doing the cruise also.

Wow I'm so jealous!! I'm 2 years out from my 40th (well actually a little less!) and I'm already planning our trip, although we are taking the kids we are going to do 2 weeks. This is making me look forward to my 40th!! One week on site and one week off. I'd love to go during food and wine adults only staying at the Beach Club so we can walk to Epcot!! Enjoy your trip!!!

Half a couple here for my birthday trip in November. My wife and I couldn't find someone to watch the kids so I'm flying in from Canada for a 1-day trip on the 11th to celebrate my 43rd birthday.
