We are 161 days out from our vacation, I decided to change our Breakfast at Chef Mickey's to a Dinner at Chef Mickey's, well the only time available for our 7 day stay is 8pm, we are early to bed early to rise type of people and could never imagine eating dinner at 8pm. I am thinking maybe something at Downtown Disney? or another resort? We are staying at AKL, how about there, is there a good restuarant at AKL? Looking for Steak for hubby and chicken, fish or pasta for me
~Please help~

There are two great restaurants at AK. Boma & Sanaa

I havent eaten at either, but they both get rave reviews. I'm currently trying to decide which we'll try for our next trip.
Boma is an African inspired buffet with over 60 items.
Sanaa is Indian type food.

On another note, if you decide to stay with Chef Mickey's breakfast, I think you will like it. It's our daughters' favorite restaurant for breakfast. They love it! Not so much for dinner, though.
It may turn out a good thing that CM has no availability for dinner right now. If you try Boma, Sanaa, or another place, it may end being a new place you hadn't originally thought of but end up loving. Good luck!

Perfect thanks, after reading this I looked at the Boma Buffet menu, looks so yummy and yes I went ahead and kept the breakfast reservation, Thanks again:hug:

consider it a blessing in disguise.....cause i think their food is horrible. :rotfl:

I heard many good things about Boma. Give that one a try! :)

We'll be staying at AKL the same time as you, and it looks as if we are arriving the same day.:) This is our first time at AKL, and we are trying Boma and Sanaa for dinner this trip. I am sorry Chef Mickey's didn't work out, and hopefully you find something else that works for you. AKL has nightly storytelling, and on our down night we are planning on Sanaa and storytelling. Sounds like fun!

This is our 1st Family vacation, I have been to WDW before and stayed at All Star Sports, i am so excited to stay at AKL! Our vacation is Sep 18th - 24th, when was the last time you were there? Please send me a message if you have any pointers on taking a toddler and a stroller...Thanks

we stayed at AKL last Sept. Definitely eat at Boma! Jiko is very good also.

At check in ask for a room close to the front. The resort is spread out so much so they can have many savannah view rooms. It was easily a 15-20 minute walk from the bus to our room and we were only half way to the end.

another tip...enjoy the hotel, take some time out of the parks. the hotel is beautiful!!! the pool is wonderful!!! enjoy!
