No chance of an upgrade for me

I just called DCL to see if there were any cat 1, 2, or 3 available on my Nov. 10-14 cruise and they said the highest available cabin was a cat 5. We are already booked into a cat. 6. Don't get me wrong I am so excited for the cat. 6 but now I don't have to wonder if I will be one of the lucky upgrades. Can't wait for our cruise after 5 nights at the B.C. lagoon view concierge.

Honestly although we all would wish for an upgrade, from what I have seen they are truly few and far between. It does seem to happen much more often on the wonder than the magic though.

MY DD is a cast member and we booked the 4 day wonder 11-10 and the only cabins left were quads (doesnt that mean 4) Maybe they said triples. So we took 7 people and spread them into 3 cabins instead of two, it does cost a couple hundred more, but does give us three bathrooms. I think the ship is about sold out. We could not find any other 3 or 4 day cruise with room available. This is not a freeport stop right? Hope to see you on board.

It is true that out of the thousands that sail each and every week on the Disney ships, that very few actually receive upgrades. We did hear of a few more during the Hurricane Season sailings since those are not always as full, especially the 3 and 4 day Wonder cruises.

An upgrade from a category 6 to a 5 would simply be the same room, but on a different deck. Not really anything to be concerned about obtaining imho.
