No cash nights at Boardwalk? Where to Stay?

Is it correct that You can NOT get the BWV boardwalk view, weekends with a cash discount? If so are they any other restrictions on the cash discount for weekends? Do you have any suggestions, Im looking to stay in the Epcot area for a week, 5 days on points and pay for a weekend. Since SS is my home, im sure im not going to be able to book standard view at BWV. Would my best bet to be to try for BCV, or just stay the weekend somewhere else?

I am not sure about the weekend discount thing. Maybe it is just that those set aside for cash are all rented. Anyway, I wanted to offer another alternative and that is the Swan & Dolphin. I stayed at the Swan on weekends to avoid the higher points and I loved it. They have the best beds. It is also real close to BWV. Heavenly to be exact. Good luck and have a great trip.

That is correct, Boardwalk view is strictly points. The only other cash restriction I know of is the BCV 2 queen 2 bedrooms. I assume you are going late October by your counter, that may be difficult to get in at either BWV or BCV because of the food & wine festival. You could get a boardwalk view with points now?
