No CAA Discounts in the Summer?

I just got off the phone, after looking into POP for August. When I asked about the CAA discount, Roland told me that he couldn't find the code. He really did seem to know what he was doing and he checked with his supervisor. Nope, couldn't use the AAA, since CAA has its own code, and it wasn't coming up. Has anyone received a CAA discount for this year? Do they only go up so far? Any ideas? Thanks for any clues!

There is most definitely discounts for summer....the AAA and CAA rate are the same thing. At work we book our packages thru AAA disney...any ressie I have made personally and at work the rate has always said aaa/caa.

I am afraid he was misinformed.

I got CAA/AAA rate for end of November and just before Christmas. My understanding is that the last day for CAA/AAA discounts is December 19th.

It could possibly be that there are no CAA/AAA discounted rooms available for the dates you requested.

Thanks, Tracey! I knew that we've done AAA/CAA before. I called back and talked to Constance, who reassured me that it could be done, right then and there.

We just booked Pop Century for end of August. The original price was $88.00 per night and the CAA price brought it down to $63.00. I would try again and hope to get someone a little more knowledgeable. Good Luck

to DIS! You must be going the week before Labour Day! I wish I could do that week, but by then I am busy getting the classroom ready. I did call back and got the CAA rate quoted. $84 and change for a few weeks earlier.

On Jan. 19 I phoned CRO to ask if there were any CAA rates available for Feb. 14 to Feb. 23. I did not expect that there would be any at that late date. We have gone to WDW since 1992 and in all that time every time I planned in advance and tried to get CAA rates there were never any available. I just about fell off my chair when the CM came back on the line to say that he had all those dates available at the CAA rate of $63.00 a night. I made a deposit immediately. Another nice surprise was at check-in at Pop Century when the CM asked where we would like to stay at the resort. She explained that we could choose anywhere we would like except the preferred buildings. That was a first and we choose 1st floor 50's. We had a great corner room overlooking the lake and at night we could see the fireworks from Illuminations at Epcot.

Yes, we stayed at Pop Century in end of August 2004. Have you stayed there before? Actually in 2004 we got to stay two extra days due to Hurriance Frances. Although we had to pretty much stay in the room for 1 full day - Disney really looked after everyone pretty well.

We stayed in Pop Centure in August 2004 and actually got to stay for a couple of extra days due to Hurricane Frances - I have to say if you are going to be in a Hurricane in Florida Disney is the place to be. They really know how to take care of you! Can hardly wait to go back.
