No Buy February

What are you getting photos taken for?

It's a mommy/daughter photo session to help make up for me being in hardly any year round, lol! I tend to be the one doing the photographing, so I'm very rarely in any photos with her.

2/6 no buy days :cheer2:

I feel like I have been on another planet this week. We had no power for three days because of the snow and than when it came back on we had no computer because it was fried in the brown outs. Luckily it was my employers equipment and they replaced it fast to get me back up and running (I work at home) so I'm back in business. We're luckier than most because we have a generator so really my only extra costs were gas for the generator. No food spoilage or anything. Also most people went to hotels but we were able to stay home. Our generator is a prime example of spending money to save money.

So all in all we did pretty good, we didn't eat out and we made do. I'm pretty proud of that. I am probably going to over spend my goal for food money this month because we had people staying with us because of the no power situation, so I spent a bit extra, but that's OK. I'm still going to be way under what I used to spend. So essentially I have spent $400 out of a $400 grocery budget so far. But being as I have actually allotted $900 grocery money I will have to dip into the extra I hoped to save. It's worth it though, and could have been so much worse. More later....I have to get some actual work done. ;)

Thank goodness for that generator huh? I need to invest in one, atleast one to plug my pellet stove into so we would have heat! Sounds like you were really able to help some people out. Way to go!
