No Buy February

Well, I am tracking my groceries on another board, so I haven't been on here and tracking, but my goal was $500 for groceries, toiletries, newspapers, and eating out.

I am at about $450 right now and our local store is having super doubles, so I may go over a bit. I have the $$, just trying to save.

We also bought a new computer this month! :scared1: It was expensive, but our old laptop (9 years old, yup, you read that right!) really is not functioning at all and I needed something else.

That put us way over our spending, but we used some sinking funds $$ for it.

Tomorrow is pay day so the cash will be replenished.

Amazingly I am still on track with everything.

Ahh! I can't stay out of Whole Foods :) I sure got some great deals, though!

I actually only have about $10 left in cash as I have a check written for a $35 membership fee I wanted to get paid this month. It's looking like the cash will be for some milk and maple syrup. Gotta budget everything! :teacher:

I have come to the conclusion that I hate the end of the month! I really need to get on track next month and stay within my percentages! But there are just so many great deals to be had! My stockpile is really huge now though so maybe I will be within budget next month!

(STILL) 4 out of 10 "no spend" days.

Big Kahuna - don't feel badly

I also have been spending more than anticipated - but at least we are tracking it and we can do better next week/month, etc.

I still need 5 no spend days and I only have 8 days lefts to accomplish that - YIKES

thank you for the support! I really feel that keeping track of my spending is a huge step - also taking out cash has really helped me to watch what I'm spending - handing over cash at a register is more difficult than handing over a piece of plastic.

(and I put a goal of 10 days, but truth be told, I would be pleased with 5. It's my first time doing a "no buy" month & I feel like recording what I'm doing is a huge help.)

heres a little pixie dust for your next 5 "no-spend" days!! :wizard:
