No BOG on MNSSHP days?

I'm really hoping I just got some misinformation from a CM when I called the dining reservations hotline. Today is our day to start making ADRs. I was unable to get to the computer by 7, so I called at 7 to try to book an early dinner (or any dinner time, really) on our MK day, which also happens to be a MNSSHP night.

We planned to attend MNSSHP, so we thought BOG would be perfect, around 4 or 5pm. The CM I spoke with told me that BOG is not open for dinner at all on MNSSHP nights. I know people made ADRs on MNSSHP nights last year. Is this something new this year or did some misinformation get passed along?

It is not true! I made reservations on Friday and my friend can't do them until tomorrow. She asked me to look and see the availability for BOG on two (supposed) MNSSHP nights. I found that they had available dinner times for both (mostly between 4-5:30.) Keep trying!

I'm not talking from experience...just on what I've learned on this site.
Apparently if you don't have a ticket for the MNSSHP but you want an ADR at MK, then you need to make a reservation before 7pm. And when you are done dinner, they will walk you out.

I agree that the CM on the phone was most likely incorrect. More likely, because of the popularity of BOG and the limited times for seating (folks going to MNSSHP want to finish by 7:00 pm and guests not staying for MNSSHP must have an ADR for 7:00 pm) there was no availability. Also remember, unless you're looking on the 10th day of the 180+10, some guests have already had access to that date and may have taken all of the available BOG ADRs for around 4-5 pm. Also, folks who went online to make ADRs had access starting at 6:00 am. So all in all, I would guess that all available ADRs have already been booked. Keep looking and hope that someone cancels!

Thanks, everyone. We were planning to do MNSSHP that night, and I'm guessing we'll still do it. I did manage to get a BOG reservation for our other MK day. This was the one reservation I didn't want to miss out on. We wanted our anniversary dinner to be there. It's a couple of days off, but we can still celebrate.

I'm glad you got a reservation even if it wasn't exactly on your preferred date!

One note for MNSSHP, the MK only has a few counter-service places open during the party and when we went last year the lines were HUGE all night! We would have easily wasted over an hour just trying to get dinner, so we ate snacks and candy (great dinner huh?!) This year we will definitely eat before we go!
