No bill at checkout?

Maybe this question is obvious but, if I make long distance cals on the phone, how do they bill those? Or for that matter, any kind of charge that is not related to DVC points.

You can sign up for express check out when you check in and they will put a handy itemized bill on your door the morning that you check out.

Incidentally, the long distance charges are quite steep (I don't know what they are, but that is what the CM told me when checking in). It might be more cost effective to bring along a cell or a calling card...

You will get a bill at checkout for any cash charges to your account. If you have set up express checkout then they are charged to the credit card you give them and the bill is left on your door the day of your leaving. If you do not set up Express Checkout then you will go by the front desk, pay your bill, and check out.

Ok, thanks for the info. So, it's just like any other time I have stayed on property, express checkout with a CC.

And yes, I do use a cell phone but long distance calling was the only example I could think of, .

Besides, I'm at the World, I don't need to call anyone!

Yes, it's just like staying at any other resort. But there's a DVC Member benefit when staying on points - local calls are only 35 cents each and 800# calls are free! Both are 75 cents for non-members.

If you use a pre-paid phone card there is no charge as long as you are on points. Not staying on points even if a cash day meshed with points in the same room, you will be charged. We stayed on points and had family in one of our rooms on points and they were charged, or I should say I was.

I dont even touch the phone in my room for fear that they may charge me....I also dont give them a credit card at check in, because that room key becomes the "magic card that makes all i see FREE!!!!" card.
