Another option is to pack a flat iron and just use the blow drier in the room. I think that's what I might do. (Humidity is not nice to my hair!) A good quality flat iron will fix your hair in 5 minutes!! And they're slim for packing...
The outlets in the bathrooms only work for razors. If you want to use a curling or straightening iron it has to be plugged in to the outlet on the desk. I also agree about the conditioner.
Any applicance with a big black box type plug will not fit in the outlets by the desk...hence the need for the extension cord. I have a travel size hair dryer that folds up and I use it as my everyday dryer as well. Packs well and is very powerful!!
I had no problems with the hair dryers. I felt they were somewhere between a low and medium of a normal hotel hair dryer - I hate the noise of high, so it's just what I was used to. Didn't take any longer than usual.
