No availability June 22-28 except FWC

I've been calling, checking the WDW website, and even just check Expedia the only thing available June 22-28 is a Fort Wilderness Cabin. The week before and the week after there is alot available and the week after is the
4th. I really want POR and was even considering Poly (have always wanted to stay there). We have been back and forth about this trip, a month ago we talked about a FW Cabin or 2 rooms at POP because POR was full then. But I can't image everything is FULL I really want to go BAD I'm having serious withdrawls. We normally go at Spring Break and we didn't go this year and I don't think I can make it till next year. Every time I think I can make and were going to do something else this year I make it about a week or two and then the sickness is back. I blame the disboards, I'm doing good and then wham I get on here and it starts all over again. Another problem is this is our only week we could go this summer. Anyway thanks for letting me ramble, I think I'll just book a FW Cabin, before there all gone too, I cant' imagine why that week is so popular.

Have you asked if SOME of your dates are available when you call? It's possible that just a few of your days (or even one) are unavailable, and you could change your trip dates on one side or the other? Of course, you may have already asked that question - just thinking out loud.

I was wondering the same thing. We are currently booked 6/14-6/24 at CSR, which I am completely happy with. But...........if an AP rate comes out, I wanted to switch to a Deluxe, however, it looks like the 22-24 will cause some problems because everything is booked, but 6/14-6/22 is wide open. What is going on there at that time?

we're booked for the 19th thru 23rd. I saw a post about a month ago that said he couldnt get in to poly. So apparently, it will be a busy week. Being that its the weekend may have alot. Also, when we tried to add a night ( and this was MONTHS ago) at poly, they were charging the peak rate. I think there is a rate change that occurs on the 24th..
Unfortunately...it will be busy..

Update, I called this afternoon to book the FW Cabin and now there is no availability anywhere on property. The CM was very nice and asked if I wanted her to check the DTD hotels (which I didn't know they could do). Anyway, I have never seen it where there are no rooms anywhere. What is going on??

well, the only extra thing I know about is that 6/20-6/22 is one of the Star Wars weekends at DHS. And all the east coast schools are out for the summer by then...are any June dates any sort of bounce-back offer or other special rate deal?

Wow - I wonder what's going on! We'll be there 6/23-7/1 at OKW and if every resort onsite is sold out, I guess that will = big crowds!

I called this afternoon and got rooms on the 25-27th, but then tried to get call again for the 24th. There were no rooms available any where. Ahh!

AP rates came out today, that may have some impact, but I am sure it is not the only factor.

I check online this morning and a FW Cabin was available so I booked it online I never book online, (I like to talk to someone and listen to the Disney music when I'm on hold ) but I was afraid it would not be there by the time I got someone on the phone. It's going to be busy that week, but who care were going to be at the happiest place on earth!!

I checked the AAA site for the dates you wish to stay and there's room/villa available at OKW (@$430/night) Can't you pick another week when it is less busy? It is usually at full capacity for the last 2 weeks of June. We have been there many times during the two weeks leading up to the 4th. Never have any problem getting the resort of our choice. But then we planned these trip months ahead....

I can't go in July because of work. So this is our week. I know it will be busy, but Spring Break is when we normally go and I really don't mind crowds we get there early and use FP for big rides. Normally we plan farther in advance than this but my DH has been waffling back and forth. It does puzzle me though that the week before and the week after which is the 4th have plenty of availability. I'm just happy to now have a reservation

A girl I work with sent a request through Dreams Unlimited on Tuesday for a couple of days beginning with 06/23/08 and she got back a quote for Coronado Springs. She requested POP or one of the All-Stars, but couldn't get those. Maybe you should try through a travel agent and see what they can do for you.

You may just want to check again a few times and see if any of the ones you really wanted open up. I've had them change from hour to hour when I was trying to get a Poly room - just a couple of week ahead of a trip. And....ended up getting the Poly room! All it takes is someone else to cancel and the room will be there. However, I think the FW Cabins sound great myself - glad you got a place! Have fun!
