well, my goodness, I was at my 180 day mark June 1 for my late Nov stay (sorry about the tardiness of my post but I believe it's still relevant), anyway I was absolutely shocked at what limited availablity there was! Even (and perhaps especially) since we are staying until December 8th, and the situation was just as bad then. Considering most people wouldn't even have those dates released yet, it left me surprised and curious. Thankfully, we did get every place we wanted to go, but for example, on one day in December (I believe the 7th IIRC)
At Epcot, at supper/evening there were only 3 !! Options.
1. Le cellier
2. Akershus
3. Spice Rd

We love Le cellier and that's where we wanted to be but wowza how could everywhere be full so soon! I feel bad for people making readies later on.

This has been happening to a lot of people lately. Your thread is one of many that are popping up about this same issue. Hope Disney is getting someone on this...

I think this is a part Disney issue and also an issue in there's just no slower times anymore. When you're 180 mark comes up, a bunch of people had theirs the day before and others the day before that and so on... With the free dining offer, it's been a nightmare for a lot of people with making ressies at the 180 (+10) mark.

That's true, but unfortunately our stay is nowhere near a FD date (nov 27-dec 8) IIRC more than a week off either way.

That part sucks as I was looking at crowd calculators to determine slowest period from oct- dec, thinking we'd get FD but somehow, dates with higher crowds (and slightly pricier rooms ) were offered FD when we were excluded. I felt bummed about it and the extra expense but truth be told, it just would have left a larger quandary-- I ONLY want to stay at POFQ, and this was excluded.

My guess is the Candlelight Processional Dining Packages haven't been released yet, so they are not releasing (m)any dining reservations at the Epcot restaurants that will be participating. Of the 3 restaurants you listed, none were part of the CPDP last year and it would seem this year as well.

Great sleuthing and I think you may be spot on! Thanks for the tip purple_figment!

I'm in the same boat as you. When I hit my 180 mark all availability for 2 at BOG were not available. This has happened the last two times I've gone to Disney, that and the issues with fast passes are starting to make me rethink renewing our annual passes...

how does the CPDP work? We have made a bunch of dining reservations and i just heard of this. I know it is a separate reservation but still clueless how it works
