No AP in June???

I just got off the phone with a CRO and she told me there was a possibility there would be no AP discounts for end of June travel. Is this just a ploy to get me to book at near rack rates in fear I will miss out on my travel dates? Could the really discontinue summer AP rates? The AXA codes don't make it worth the money these days.

There is no guarantee of discounts at any time of year. As of right now, current AP discounts are only available on stays through April 9th. They may release discounts for the rest of Apr, May & June soon or they may not. No way of knowing until it happens.

Anything is possible, but I would guess the APs are just going to be released more in keeping with tradition--around 2 months in advance of the dates for which they are applicable.

You don't really indicate your travel dates--could it be you're going around 4th of July holiday. I imagine that WDW is fairly well booked at that time of year, although I've never traveled at that time so have no first hand knowledge.

The AXA rates seemed fairly good to me (6/13-21/03), compared to DC or rack--our Polynesian Concierge GV was down to $390 (tax inclusive $350 base rate) from a rack of around $440 (and DC of $424). I realize it isn't as good as our AP last year ($330 tax inclusive), but it's still early for the APs and I'm fairly patient. I also thought the standard rate at AKL $166 (tax inclusive from a $149 base) was pretty good. The concierge and deluxe didn't seem that heavily discounted, but they seldom are. The AXA for All-Stars seemed pretty reasonable for regular season, too.

I'm not sure why the reservationist would indicate that APs probably won't happen, could be a ploy, but then again--who knows. You could always book and apply your AP when they do come out though. A lesser discount is better than none at all.
