No AP at CBR for Marathon

Just got off the phone with CRO and he couldn't find availabiltiy at CBR with the AP discount. Said he had other resorts, but not CBR for the 4 days I need for the Marathon weekend in January. Anyone have any idea of why not?

I have a room-only reservation that I need to keep since we are going with non-AP holder friends, but would have like to applied a discount. At least I got a good deal on a week at OKW with my timeshare trade.

Just keep checking back or checking the website. I'm at CSR for Marathon Weekend. They didn't have any Standard avail as they CM told me they had them Blocked (maybe a convention), but the they have the "King" rooms avail. We're switching over to Poly and I had to call a few times to get the 2 nights I needed there...

They only have a certain number of rooms available for the codes so once those are booked, it's rack rate only...

I'm sure some will open up. Just keep trying. Good luck!

1/2 Marathon is on 1/10, and the full on 1/11. I checked the web site (thanks for the suggestion) and they don't show anything available at CBR on Friday, and a King room only on Saturday. Maybe more rooms will open and then I can apply my AP rate. Wonder if it is worth trying to get the first 2 nights at a discount. I know I would need to reservations, and might have to change rooms, but the discount is about $40 a night.

I just checked king jr suite is availabe that weekend at $350 a night with AP discount. other suites are the only thing else coming up.

Hey, I'm of the opinion that every little bit helps. I know I've read some other threads where folks are constantly changing their choice resorts and such. Also, word on the street is there will be a public code out hopefully sometime next week. Could include dining.

Just keep checking back. I'm sure you can get something to fit your needs at price that is reasonable or at least w/ some type of discount.

For kicks, I just went to the website and put in Checkin on Wed, Jan 7, checking out on Sat, Jan 9 and got the $89 rate at POR and POFQ. Apparently, Saturday night is the problem right now--at least at those two resorts.

If you're willing to move resorts for the entire length of your stay or do a split stay, this could be an option.

Oh, I wasn't sure what dates you were coming in or leaving...but maybe this helps?

Jan 6-11 at Coronado Springs is $114 plus tax per night...

All the info help! But I am committed to staying at CBR for the days leading up to the race. I am traveling with DisneyWorld novices who need me to show them around, and get them to the races on time. I will keep working it and maybe something will open up.
