No ADRs for Big River Grille? Easy to get in? Alternatives?

I was thinking about suggesting this as a place for my group to eat one night on our upcoming trip. But, our group is 14 people and I can't make ADRs?? How busy is it and would it be possible to call the day before or the same day and get seated at a decent time? We'll have 5 kids 9 and under, so we can't eat late or wait long.

Any other Epcot-area restaurants you'd recommend for our group? Nothing too fancy!

The phone number for Big River Grille is 407-560-0253. I've heard people say you can make reservations directly with the restaurant but I don't know that for a fact. I'd call and check with them.

We've never had a problem walking right in with little or no wait,and this is usually in March which is supposedly a busy time. The ESPN Club takes no ressies and might be a good alternative.

I can confirm as fact that you used to be able to call them directly and get a reservation, but I don't know if this is still the case. I'd second the reccomendation of giving them a call.

The only time I've ever really seen it crowded was on Fri/Sat nights.

The most we've ever waited was an hour, and with it being right on the BW the time went very quickly. We browsed the store, and hung out on the benches watching the boats come and go. It was very relaxing. There's also the carnival games right near the restaurant on the BW so for the little ones there's something to occupy them.

We have one dinner here every time we go. It's convenient (we usually stay at BW) and we like their beers.

Keep in mind you need room for 14 people that is a lot different than a party of 4 or 6. Call the Restaurant see whate they say.

You could try to get an ADR at spoodles if it is still open then.

Thanks for the phone number. I may give them a call to see what our options are. We'd want to be seated together, not tables of 6/4/4 or 6/8.
