Ok, just checking with all you dis-dining connoisseurs. We'll be there for a long weekend at the end of March (eek, spring break) and have no ADRs. We really just planned to wing it, but I'm now fearful that we'll be waiting forever for places we decide on last-minute. Are we in for trouble? My other thought was to just make a few ADRs "just-in-case" so that we can at least be guarenteed SOMETHING. Only problem with that is that I hate to tie up a table, and I don't like feeling so "scheduled". please Help!!

TIA

I would DEFINITELY get the ADRs made just in case. Many of the places don't need a credit card so if you don't show up it wouldn't be a biggie. You just hate to not get into places...but if you are ok with eating all counter service meals you can make it work.

GOOD LUCK...ENJOY!

We used to wing it until last year. Apparently it is getting so busy that it's very hard to just walk up to popular restaurants anymore. We ate alot of counter service! Make some back ups just in case. :)

Make them just in case or wait in the CS lines. Even in mid-december, the parks were uncrowded but the park restaurants were always busy. They only have so many places to eat on site and with the dining plan they are full.

We are going end of March as well - kind of a last minute trip -

I called today and booked a few meals - I don't want too many - my kids are small - and don't eat that much - (did not get dining plan)

I did not have much trouble getting times I wanted - Granted - I wanted early dining (my kids are 2 and 4) - but I was able to book Calif Grill, Crystal Palace lunch, etc - without too much trouble.

Just call - I would rec. maybe booking one meal a day - If you have an idea what park you will be in - you can schedule around that. Have fun!

Do some deciding and if there is anywhere you are 60% sure you want to try then make an ADR. We are going the week after Easter and there are several places I can not get into unless I take a bad time. (Like during illuminations or wishes). If you wait and wing it you will most likely be eating CS.

Make those ADRs. Though you want the flexibility of choosing last minute, is it worth it to waste valuable park time, sitting around waiting to be called to get into a restraurant. How long do you plan to wait for a table, 30 minutes or more. This is something to consider and that is, IF, the restraurant can seat you. Resort restraurants have better availability, but the park restraurants are getting filled. We were in WDW just a couple of weeks ago: Feb. 2-10 and this is value season and SLOW, but you couldn't tell by the restruarants. We tried one night to get a seating at WCC, and there was nothing available that evening. We were glad we had ADRs for that some trip, and have all of mine now for our 2 week trip late April.
