No 24? YIKES!

Okay, President Palmer is on his way to LA to calm the American people. The nuke was detonated over the desert after Mason bravely sacrificed himself so that Jack could live, Kim thinks that her Dad is dead and the clock ticked 11:00.

I was lamenting that I would have to wait TWO whole weeks to see what happened next on 24 because of American Idol, when a horrible thought suddenly occurred to me (as horrible thoughts often do!). I don't recall getting Fox on my past cruises! Will I really have to miss what happens in the life of Jack Bauer from 12:00am to 1:00am?!?!?!?! Please someone say it isn't so! Tell me that Disney has somehow decided to show Fox on their TV's, even though they are a competitor of ABC.

Is it remotely possible, or am I going to have to go a whole week without my 24?

No FOX channels last week when I was on the Wonder. You'll need to set your VCR or better yet, program TIVO (TIVO came in handy while I was away, lol).

We are sailing with you on the 29th..... my heart did a jump when I read your post. My husband is a 24 fanatic! He has yet to realize he will miss this episode. Oh my... He is unsure of cruising anyway (he is prone to motion sickness coupled with the impending war, he would not be unhappy if we cancelled)....

My family and I are on the same cruise as you also. 24 is my husband's favorite show. My husband will definitely be bummed regarding missing an episode. I'm with you nurseb, let's keep it a secret that they are going to miss an episode!

Shmoo, I've already started my list of things I have to tape, and 24 is right at the top.

I figure by that point, it's 3AM and Kimberly Bauer gets chased by a horde of angry elephants, and Syed Ali (disguised as a circus clown) saves her from certain death.

DD is also addicted to 24. But she seems to think it is not on for 3 weeks;(3/11; 3/18 & 3/25). She could be wrong. It has been known to happen.
Personally I wonder how Jack Bauer, that super intelligent agent, can possibly have such a ditz for a DD.

Good News All...
There is a NEW episode of 24 scheduled to air March 25th... so one more episode before we sail. My DH will be happy to know that he will only miss one week. (TIVO already has the season pass)

Yep! One more to get us hooked then I have to miss a week. Thank GOODNESS they repeat the episode on FX on the day the new one is shown. I guess I'll have to catch it then as I don't have Tivo and my VCR is already taping a movie (Rudy) while we are gone.

There's a great recap site called Television Without Pity. The recaps are a stitch and completely biased in their presentation. The recapper for 24 hates Kim, and calls her Spawn. And sad but true, the wood post tested scored higher in the math. (But sucked on the verbal.)

My son-in-law, daughter, grandson and I are all HOOKED on 24! And I was terribly disappointed the couger didn't get Kim! We all groan when the show flips to her...what does she offer? nothing but filler...I knew Mason would turn out to do the right thing....
