NMAmy's To Do List - 4/26-Update-Page 21-The End

 to you, pal, and no, I'm not sick. In body. In mind, well, let's not go there. As I'm sure you could tell from my "WHAP" thread that I am having the same kind of week. Helped out LOTS by the "nanner nanner boo boo" calls from my mom: "Hi, honey, it's 85 degrees here, we're sitting at Epcot in France having some champagne." ;)

You conversation with Cait cracked me up though. :rotfl:

Oh, my gosh, I forgot about your mom and her nanner nanner calls. I can't decide if she's incredibly sweet to want to include you or incredibly evil to tease you this way. :rotfl2:

I think it's a great day to whap someone. I want to whap my eye doctor. I forgot to mention that I'm still having contact issues. The first pair of contacts they gave me were okay--in hindsight, I should have just shut up and taken them. Went back, they gave me another pair on Monday. Wore them on Tuesday morning and ripped them out of my eyeballs by noon. My big issue with them? Couldn't read. Sort of a problem in my line of work. You know, at a college, they kind of expect their employees to be able to read. Picky, picky, picky. So, I went back again today, and they gave me ANOTHER pair. Compared to the last pair, they're heaven but I still have a bit of a headache. That's me today, a big ole whiney babycry. :rotfl:

So, I go back again on next Tuesday. Here's hoping I get this sorted out before vacation!:thumbsup2 I look like a nerd in my glasses so that's not an option. Vanity, thy name is Amy.:rotfl:

:surfweb: I am just loving your trip report!!
I can so understand the teenage thing. DS is 17, and woohoo are they a handfull.:scared1: He actually told us he was not going to Disney this year, I know that he MUST have something up his sleeve; so I called Nana to come spend a week with him!! (He does not know this yet):lmao:

Have a wonderful trip!!

Oh, she's being sweet. She really does wish we were there. It helps that when she calls she lists all the stuff she bought me and Hepzibah. :rotfl: ;) Right now she's at DTD, having wine at Fulton's and eating shrimp. :teeth:

:rotfl2: Oh, that's hysterical! Poor Nana. I have a feeling he might decide Disney might be fun after all! ;)

Thank you so much for reading, dwaddict. I'm really glad you're enjoying it.

Well, at least she's buying stuff for you guys! What are you getting?

I wish I were at Fulton's having wine and shrimp. How often is she calling you???

Loving your pre-trip report! 7 more days...how exciting. I am enjoying reading about your DD.... oh how I am not looking forward to the teenage years. Every post reminds me of my 16 year old cousin and all the fun interactions I get to watch between her and my aunt.:lmao: Oh I shouldn't laugh because my time will soon come. I will just remember to avoid the stairs at all costs when she is around;)

:rotfl: :rotfl: Oh my, Your TR is hysterical, I literally had tears in my eyes with the falling down the stairs story! Sorry I know it was scary but also really funny:lmao: I really like your writing style. I'm taking notes so that my TR will be interesting enough for people to read when we get back from our WDW trip. Keep it coming:thumbsup2 Only 6 days for you!:cool1:

Thank you so much for reading and replying! I really appreciate it. Four more days as of today!

While the teenage years have had their challenges, most of the time, Caitlin is a great kid. The stories are always just more amusing when I tell about her teenage weirdness. ;) Oh, yeah, don't laugh too hard, medicgirl, your time will come sooner than you think!

:lmao: It's okay to find it amusing, dddisrunner! In retrospect, I think it's kind of hysterical, too. I plan on using it to blackmail Cait through the years. You know, when she has kids of her own, I'll tell them, "Your mommy once pushed me down the stairs at WDW." ;)

Thank you so much for the kind compliments. I really appreciate you reading along and taking the time to let me know you're enjoying it.

:wave2: Hiya, pal! How are you feeling?

While I'm here, I might as well add a bit more. ;)

I didn't accomplish my whole to do list for this weekend. I did get all the cleaning done. And I do mean ALL. You know how you clean something and then you notice something else looks dusty/shabby/dirty in comparison and it's just a vicious circle? That kind of happened to me. :rotfl: I was dusting and noticed the curtains were dusty so I took them down to wash them, then with the sun shining through, noticed how dirty the windows were and so washed them, and on and on and on. The good news is the house is very clean. You can come over and eat off my windows if you'd like.

However, I was so exhausted by all this cleaning that I didn't get much else done. I didn't get my hair cut. I didn't get much packing done. Which now means I have to fit all this stuff in after work this week. :scared1:

So, tonight, I'm going to try to get my hair cut. Tomorrow, I have to get my head examined. I mean, my eyes. Again. And I still don't like the contacts. This is my third trial pair. Maybe I can just keep trying a new trial pair every week for the next year. :confused3 Wednesday I work late. Thursday, I plan on freaking out. :scared1: I might as well schedule it in because I KNOW it's going to happen.

My mom also wants us to come over for corned beef and cabbage one night. She went to my aunt's for St. Patrick's Day and my aunt, who is not a great cook, apparently had inferior corned beef and cooked the cabbage too long. So Mom needs a do-over. With non-smushy cabbage. She's not sure WHICH night...as she told me, "Oh, I'll call you whatever day I feel like making it." Hmm...okay. Not much else going on around here, Mom.

Our petsitter/housesitter stopped by yesterday afternoon. Now, granted, Sunny has never met a human being she didn't think was just swell, but she really took to him. Which is comforting. They played for quite awhile--she was so tired after he left that she slept for the rest of the afternoon. :rotfl: So, that made me pretty happy. Now I don't have to worry. He was so cute--I told him we'd be leaving at 6 a.m. and he asked me, "Should I come over really early then?" :rotfl: Well, no, hon, she's usually alone all day anyway. She has her own room in the basement with her own bed. A regular bed. It's Cait's old twin-sized one. Sunny even has storage drawers and a bookcase headboard where she keeps all her toys. :rotfl2: It's a load off my mind that they like each other so much.

The saga of Caitlin's phone problems continues. She needs a charger because it only works part of the time. Of course, when she took it in, it was working so they wouldn't give her a new one. She refuses to go back because they were rude to her. So now I have to add running over to the cell phone place sometime this week to pick up a charger. Oh, and they moved, and I'll have to figure out where the heck they are now. :confused3

I'm also having a problem with a tooth and I'm debating about whether to try to get into the dentist or just seeing if it abates today. I don't want to be like Bunny's Nana having to go find a dentist at WDW. That's an attraction I'd prefer not to visit.

Do you all get like this just before vacation? I was SO excited last week that I could hardly sit still. Now, when someone asks me how long before I leave, I say, all panicky like, "It's only FOUR days!" I need a vacation to get ready for vacation.

Oh, and DH just informed me that he took Thursday off. So, when I started listing all the things he could do for me that day (I wish I could make him go to the dentist and also to the hair cutting place for me but those things were not on the list, I'm sad to say) and he told me he'd taken the day off so he could sleep and rest up before we go! :rotfl2: Must be nice, fella!

Thanks to all my peeps for reading along!

Oh, my. It was like I was reading about myself, minus the teenager. :rotfl:

Schedule some time to breathe, my friend. While you breathe, drink. Wine. At least one full glass. Breathe, drink, drink, breathe. :thumbsup2

I would definelty try to get your tooth looked at before you go......attraction you would not like to visit:rotfl: I totally agree. But man, you had better find a 24 hour place, cuz I don't know when you would have time!! Sounds like things are pretty crazy right now. Just think about what you would be doing one week from right now. Like if it was my vacation right now I would at Epcot, sunshine all around, walking to the World Showcase :goodvibes :hippie:
Of course, Wine couldn't hurt:rotfl:
Hope you make it through the next few days!!

:rotfl2: You girls crack me up! I was spazzing last night and Alex told me, "I'll do the dishes and you're having a beer." :lmao: So, the drinking has already begun!

Maybe spazzing more often is the way to go!

:rotfl2: I'm usually fairly calm and organized so when Dh starts noticing that I'm getting frazzled, he knows it's time to pitch in! Oh, and get me a beer. :thumbsup2 If I did it TOO often, he'd probably start ignoring me.

Hey, maybe you could find a dentist that does hair! :rotfl: Also, if you have your tooth fixed then you have an excuse to not fit in eating corned beef and cabbage too!:rotfl2: It will all get done I'm sure you'll go into superwoman mode!:thumbsup2

I just found your report- great so far!

You may not want to tell Cait this, but I think the grilled cheese disappeared from Tubbi's with the remodel! I too was addicted to its cheesy goodness, but when I went back in January- no sammich! I was brokenhearted! Maybe they'll still make one if you ask nicely, though?

Can't wait to hear about your trip! :)

Oh, good heavens, please say it isn't so! She was just talking to me about this last night. I could swear somewhere, some time, I saw a picture someone had posted of the menu board at Picabu's and it still showed it. Heavens, I hope so. We did manage to get one at the Dolphin Fountain last trip (they were doing the remodel then and boy, did I ever hear about my lack of planning on THAT one!) and she said it was almost as good. ALMOST.

They are very kind there--one trip, we stopped there at 10:30 before leaving for the airport. They were still serving breakfast and Cait was brokenhearted because she wanted one last grilled cheese. A manager overheard her lament and told me, "Anybody that loves something we make that much deserves to have one!" and she whipped one up just for Caitie. It made her day. And mine. Because I didn't have to listen to the whining. :rotfl:

Thanks for reading, Poly Princess! I appreciate it.
