Forgive me for taking so long. I've been quite busy. I want to hurry and finish my reports before I can't remember anymore.

Wednesday, November 7.

After 2 days visiting Universal Parks, my wife and I elect to do Animal Kingdom. We've have never been to this park and are eagerly anticipating it. We arrive at the gate around 11:30 am and proceed directly to It's Tough To Be A Bug. I must say this totally outdoes MuppetVision when it comes down to special effects. I won't give away any surprises.

This was truly spectacular. It is a great 3D experience. However, judging by the screaming and crying of smaller children sitting around us, they didn't enjoy it as much.

"Mommy, I don't want to do this anymore!"
"Jimmy, remember it's not real. Take off your glasses if you don't want to see , or close your eyes."

Needless to say Jimmy was quite eager to make a quick exit out of the theatre.

If you don't remain in your seat until the very end, you'll miss another special effect. (Most of you already know what it is.)

You need to take Animal Kingdom slowly just taking in the atmosphere. I think it's a great park considering some of the negative feedback from others. We proceed on to the Dinosaur attraction. This is another great ride. It's dark and bumpy. Make sure to hold on tight to all loose articles.

After our jolt on Dinosaur we do our leisurely walk around the park. If you're into seeing animals take the trails through the exhibits. You can capture some great footage on camera. We chose to bypass the Kali River Rapids. We just didn't feel like getting wet. My wife wants us to head over to the Kilamanjero Safaris. If you can catch this attraction at the right time, the animals will be in abundance. Also, your tour guide can make or break your trip. It felt like being on a safari. Some of the animals come right up next to the ride vehicle. This is a definite must see. Again have you cameras and video cameras ready.

Our one thing that we missed while at AK was the Lion King show. For our trip in August it's at the top of our must sees. I would gladly skip over Tarzan Rocks. If you have time please see it but don't beat yourself up if you miss it. To us it was pretty cheesy. After making our round of the park we elect to do Bug and Dinosaur again. We also catch the Flights of Wonder show.

A tip to the wise: Wear comfortable shoes. AK involves a lot of walking sometimes on uneven terrain. It's one park that you can get tired in pretty quickly.

We returned back to the Dolphin for an extended rest. We want to catch Illuminations at EPCOT later. We didn't plan this particularly well. I wanted to eat in Mexico and then catch Illuminations. There was no way we'd get to have a sit down dinner this evening. We grabbed a nachos at the fast food stand right before the fireworks begin. We really didn't have a good spot to see. We put on our schedule to come again on Saturday. After illuminations we are both exhausted so we decide to rest up for Sea World.

My 6 year old nephew was really bothered by "hopper". I think ITTBAB is the best 3D that WDW offers :)

Thanks for telling us about your day at Animal Kingdom, I enjoyed reading about it.
