just wondering which building has a better location? i have garden room booked. iwould like to be near volcano pool and captain cooks thanks....amy i also would like first floor

Well, it's a matter of opinion which is a better location. Both in fact are good, you couldn't go wrong with either. Nuie is closer to the pools and GCH. Since you want first floor, Nuie would be fine. It is kind of boxed in between Rarotonga and the GCH in my opinion. I prefer Fiji just for the view. It has a good view of the marina or lagoon looking toward luau cove and GF. It's on the same side of the GCH as Captain Cook's and you just need to walk around the marina, a short distance, to get to the volcano pool. But then again I always want a balcony so that's another reason I would probably lean toward Fiji.

I would highhly recommend Fiji...stayed on first floor in feb ..gorgeous marina view ..very convenient location...loved it..have fun:D

We stayed there in 2001 and it was a great location. We had a garden view room (3rd floor w/balcony) and it overlooked a small beach w/palm trees, the Wedding Pavilion, the monorail, and Luau Cove. It was a great view.

We stayed there before the extensive renovation they did last year so the building and rooms were looking a little worn. I bet it's great now that the renovation is done! We are going back to the Poly this October and I'm going to try to get a room in Fiji again! :D

Oh, and it was so cool to walk (a very short walk) to the GCH, past the marina, and hear the howl from the Haunted Mansion and the whistle from the WDW Railroad from across the lagoon!

Thanks for all the great info,.... sounds like everyone likes figi... how far away is the volcano pool from here??? thanks..amy

Close to GCH, marina, view of Space Mountain and Contemporary!
For the cost of a garden view, it dosen't get much better.

Amy,
From our room #1314 we had a clear view of the volcano pool ...very short walk ...1314 is a fabulous room:D

The best locations are definitely in one of the buildings who's name ends in a vowel.

Personally I think Tokelau has the best overall location on property.

Thanks for all of the replies. It sounds like there are alot of great buildings and veiws at the poly... I am really glad I choose the poly....amy

There is no doubt in my mind that Niue has the best location of all the longhouses in the sense of being centrally located. It is literally just steps from GCH, both pools, and the laundry/arcade. It is also closer to the Epcot monorail than Fiji. On the other hand the view is nothing special. (We stayed at Niue in 92 when it was called Bora-Bora.)
