Nintendo DS price

My first grade classroom is sponsoring a family for Christmas and the two children would like their own Nintendo DS from Santa I have been pricing them and have decided on the Lite model as it is $40 cheaper than the DSi. They all seem to be the same price of $129 Are there ever any sales or coupons for the Nintendo DS Lite?? I tried e-Bay and they were the same price there too. Thanks for any help, Mary

Walmart had them for $98 on Black Friday, so sales are possible.

Don't know of any current sales.

My advice would be to keep an eye on the sales through the stores' internet sites. That way you can watch both online and in-store sales.

Watch sites like buy.com, amazon, etc too.

gamestop had new ones for $129 and used(but still good) are $89

Amazon and Walmart have had them for 98 so I am hoping for a sale somewhere before christmas as my DD wants one... HOPE HOPE... We are still not sure its the right gift but she wants it....

We have a similar situation with the family we are sponsoring at work. At first we were just going to buy one and have the two girls share and I was lucky enough to snag one on Amazon Thanksgiving Day for $88 ($98 on the deal less the $10 for using my Discover card). I actually started to buy two since I felt we had enough money for that, but decided that everyone only approved the purchase of one and I would wait until everything else was bought. Well, I got everything else on Black Friday, but by that time Walmart was out of them for $98. Now I am looking for another deal since I hate to pay regular price for something. I knew I should have just bought two from Amazon!
