Nintendo DS for 4yr old Girl

Hi everyone! I am wondering if anyone has any one has a child this age that has a Nintendo DS. My BFF has a 4 year old daughter and she is getting her this for Christmas and I need some game suggestions for her. Thanks in advance for any answers.!

My youngest got one for Christmas last year, largely because older DS was getting one. He likes Mario Kart (also has it for Wii) and one called Carnival Games. He has a couple of Lego ones, but he doesn't play them.

Just go look at Walmart or Target. Flip the box over and it shows you a little about the game. Compare them and look at the suggested ages. Some require lots of reading so avoid those at first so she doesnt get too frustrated. I think they've come out with some new ones for those younger kids.

I've been looking at a Leapster for this exact reason -- DD3 is interested in a DS, but I don't think they are very pre-school friendly. Anyone else?

We got both our kids (4 ane 6) the leapster and told them it was a DS. Our oldest has a DS however, they never made the association that it was something different.

Our 7 year old will get the real DS this year, I think she is ready. My son still needs more maturing.

We purchased our daughter a Leapster when she was four and she still plays it.

She turns six in October and for her bday she is getting the DSi and some games.

My kids had their Gameboys when they were about 5 or so. they palyed tons of Pokemon games at that age.

There is a Dogs game - not sure what the name is - that my neice has. You train a puppy to do tricks and you feed it, etc. the girls love it.

My 5 year old DD has one of these and her favorite game is "Cooking Mama."
