Nintendo confirmed for Osaka/Orlando/Hollywood

I'm excited and impatient all at the same time!

This can't come fast enough but I realize we are probably going to be waiting a while

Any thoughts/ideas/theories on where it Nintendo Land would go in Florida? I heard conjecture that it might go in Universal Studios Kidzone, but to me that area seems to out of the way and small. Although out of the way might not be bad if its ultra Harry Potter worthy emersion. Have a entrance similar to Gringotts where the land is hidden until you step in and then your transported to Nintendo Land.

I personally would replace Seuss Landing. Lots of space for theming (you need rides, shops and stores) and it would put Nintendo in a real prime POW (block) location. Come in and go left for superheroes or right for Mario.

I will be there (hopefully sooner then later) with my 3DS and Switch.

I think for sure it'll go in Kidzone. I don't think they'll sacrifice Seuss Landing as that's popular with the kiddies and without it, IOA won't have much for the wee ones.

Size-wise Kidzone has a decent amount of real estate, it just seems smaller because of all the trees. See the image I've snipped below. It's about the same size as Diagon Alley, and more so if ET gets chopped too (which IMO I would be fine if they got rid of it)

Yes, it has been pretty much confirmed by insiders that it will go in Kidzone. Interesting other thing is that they emphasized the lifelike aspect. Sounds like they are going in the opposite direction of screen based attractions.

I honestly like screen based attractions provided they are a good/immersive blend of screen and practical effects ala FJ, Spiderman, Gringotts, Transformers etc.

Imagine what they could do from a "4-D" dark attraction perspective with properties like Metroid, Zelda, Mario Kart etc.

Finally officially announced for Orlando. I was in Citywalk when they were filming Miyamoto in front of the Globe. (Creater of Mario/Zelda/Donkey Kong, etc).

From what I've heard Orlando will have the largest version of it, but it may be split between Studios and the new park they will be building in the new land they bought near the big convention center. KidZone is still the most likely spot for the first part of it..

Interesting!!So they would put Nintendo stuff at USF and at the new park,it just makes me wonder what that third park would be themed to.USF is the movies,IOA is adventures but that technically covers many themes and IP's.I can't see an entire park just with Nintendo stuff so what would a third parks name or theme be?I think something general like an IOA that has everything and anything covered would be their best bet.

I imagine something like Islands of Adventure type thing that can be very broad. Wouldn't be surprised to see a Fantastic Beasts zone to expand their HP offerings there too.

As far as Nintendo, I'm not expecting it but I'd really love an immersive dark ride themed to Metroid. Think it'd be amazing.

This is very exciting. You'd also like to think because it's a video game brand a lot of the attractions will be interactive so you can really be immersed in the world's.

And not just a clone of Midway Mania, although I like that ride too many screens.

While a Third gate sounds intriguing, and I've heard rumours through various articles that a "Video Games" themed park (not just Nintendo but with IPs like World of Warcraft etc.) might be in the works. I'm

a) not holding by breath for that
and
b) something like a full third park would take many many years.

They're just getting Volcano Bay going this year, plus all of these expansions/new attractions on the go. I honestly don't see a new 3rd park happening anytime in the near future, but who know.

Yeah but you know it's serious when they bring out Miyamoto. :)

Let's just hope the anticipated announcement dates for the opening don't follow Mr Miyamoto's past practice re the release dates for Zelda games:rolleyes1. Talk about over-waiting.

His babies are Mario/donkey kong/Zelda, all will likely be featured prominently.

IMO it makes sense for Japan to get the protype first.

Don't see ET going anywhere. My understanding is it's grandfathered in, unless Spielberg signs off on it.

Not sure why they would have purchased all the new land if not for a third gate.

Oh I'm certain there will be a third gate with all of the land they bought, I'm just guessing we won't see it for at least 5 years.

Can anyone Google Maps this 'new land' for me? I'm new to the area, so the locations are foreign for me :P.
