Nine Dragons

Nine Dragons is good, never had a bad meal. The thing is though, it's just kind of basic chinese food. I live right by PF Changs and it's basically the same. So we usually don't go there anymore but the food is fine, you'll enjoy it if you go.

Interesting about the pricey. All but one meal is less than $22.95. That is quite a bit less than most restaurants for dinner. My family of four can eat there for less than $120.00. Biergarten for comparison costs my family $180.00 and more because I have to get a beer at he biergarten.

We never complain about the price of food at WDW, it is what it is. We had lunch there, though, and it was an expensive lunch...the 3 of us had appetizers, though, which we usually don't do at lunch in the "real" world, so I guess that may be part of it...

All I know is, we stayed away from Nine Dragons because of all the bad reviews, and we were pleasantly surprised. DD and DH want to go back again in November, and if we have enough tummy room, we will.

:sunny:

All the reasons stated are why I've never eaten here. I really wish the food was more authentic chinese. Growing up our chinatown was mostly Cantonese so there was alot of hong kong style cooking. Its so hard to find really good authentic chinese cooking anymore. Its so much better then american style chinese food.

Don't miss the ice cream!! It was really good. I think it was sesame ginger or almond ginger? Sounds odd but was great.

Do they have anything like egg rolls? I love them if they are cooked right.

We've always enjoyed it. The iced tea is blackberry. I've been looking for blackberry teabags ever since! :lmao: My dd likes the honey chicken and we both like the 5-flavor fish.

As for authentic, my suburb has a lot of asian families. A restaurant opened recently, and I looked at the carryout menu. The authentic one. :scared1: There are animals I don't eat and animals that I eat, but not those parts! Finally turned it over and found the americanized version. :lmao: And I thought I was pretty adventurous!
