We went there multiple times on our last trip, and enjoyed each time. True, we didn't make any real reservations that trip, and the main reason we ate here so many times was because it always had availability... But truly, I don't know why people pass it up - Its really rather good! And their iced tea - I forget what flavor it was, but it was to die for!
I don't ever have the dining plan, so I like the nine dragons because it is a relaxing place with more reasonably priced food. I love the pepper shrimp. I think it is as good as PF Changs. If I was on the dining plan, it wouldnt be expensive enough to waste a credit. But for OOP, I like it much better than a $40.00 buffet.
Interesting about the pricey. All but one meal is less than $22.95. That is quite a bit less than most restaurants for dinner. My family of four can eat there for less than $120.00. Biergarten for comparison costs my family $180.00 and more because I have to get a beer at he biergarten. After so many trips, we tried it for the first time in November and loved it. Cool, quiet, pretty decor, attentive and friendly servers, and the food was delicious, if pricey. DH enjoyed a few glasses of the iced tea DisneySarah mentioned - I'm thinking it was raspberry?

We really liked the fixed menu. I don't remember what it was anymore (been almost 2 years now!) but it was good, and a good value too.
We love PF Changs too, especially the soup and noodles. Nine Dragons is on the same level as that. It is usually not full and easy to walk up without a reservation. The food is good, so I am surprised more people do not eat there.
