Nine Dragons?

Nine Dragons was the worst experience we have ever had at a WDW restaurant. It also happened to be the worst Chinese food we had ever tasted. I would seriously reccomend another restaurant, perhaps Spoodles, Le Cellier, or Rose and Crown.

Sorry-I didn't see that it was between those two. Coral Reef hands down.

We have eaten dinner and lunch at Nine Dragons and dinner at Coral Reef. So far we have had good experiences at Nine Dragons - 4 times - and not so good of an experience at Coral Reef. It all comes down to opinion, but we had good food - General Tso's, Sesame Chicken, and another chicken dish - and the service on our visits have been very good. When we ate at Coral Reef our server was not that responsive and our food was okay, but not great. I guess it depends upon expectations. Good luck with your decision!

I also would choose Coral Reef between the two. You aren't going to see knock out reviews for either one on the boards but I really do enjoy the ambience of the Coral Reef. Back when I ate seafood, I remember loving the lobster bisque there. I've also heard good things about a dessert there. Nine Dragons is just "eh" for me. My family has always liked it and didn't find it to be the best chinese food ever or the worst. It was always hot and plentiful and we always found the service to be quite good.

That is exactly what I have been trying to decide between also. I had Coral Reef booked and called the other day and changed my reservation to Nine Dragons. I was hoping the restaurant would be really nice and the food pics I've seen look really good. I have read a lot of negative reviews on the Coral Reef lately and we have eaten there once previously and it was just okay. So I decided we would try something new this time and went with Nine Dragons. Good luck in your decision.

We ate at the coral reef in August. We didn't care for our waiter (but there's good and bad waiters/waitresses at all restaurants), and the food wasn't good. My son got a steak, and it was ok. I had the Mahi Mahi - not good. My husband had crab cakes - not good. We are from the New Orleans area, so we are picky when it comes to seafood. I just read a good report on Nine Dragons about a week ago. We will be trying that in December. San Angel Inn got some pretty bad reviews on this site, but we really enjoyed the food in August. I guess all restaurants have good and bad days. Good luck with your decision!

Another vote for Nine Dragons from this family! We go every trip. Coral Reef is good one day and bad the next IMO.

We just ate at nine dragons, I was not impressed at all. Tables in long lines very close together. We felt like we were eating dinner with the couple next to us. Service was weak, grumpy chinese guy....messed up the desserts.
Food was fare at best. I would not hesitate to try coral reef, Le Cellier steak house........
Good Luck

Nine Dragons- best sweet and sour soup Ive ever had.
so-so entrees
very good desert-bean ice cream

My stomach wasnt very happy afterwards. Beware!

For atmpshere and setting Coral reef, but for good food Nine Dragons. I know this tends to get osme bad reviewd, but we have always had good food. The service at either can be soso. However, whichever you choose you'll probably have a good meal.
