Hi all,

We've made a PS for the above for August. Has anyone eaten here?

I've heard lots of negative feedback but we thought a Chinese might make a nice change. Has anyone tried it?

Thanks

Karen

Hi There,

We ate at the 9 Dragons in Sep 98, The food was good, althought we found it to be quite hot and I remember finding it hard to choose a dish as none of them I remembered from my local "chinky" All in all a nice meal.

PS The carryout spring rolls, available round the back are excellent.

Had better chinese from the local take out at a tenth of the price. The restaurant is pretty though. They use a lot of MSG. The lotus blossom cafe - counter service around the corner to Nine Dragons makes better chinese food - especially the spring rolls asthe above poster stated also.

I really recommend going offsite to the Ming Court Restaurant on i drive.

....and I really recommend you avoid this place like the plague! Had a HORRID meal here at Chrimbo. Tasteless, small portions and expensive with huge amounts of added MSG. Gross.

Never been tempted by the Nine Dragons (been put off by the poor reviews) however, as with the "Ming Court" divide Im sure there are two sides to every story. Will be interested in reading your review when you get back. You do realise you are my "guinea pig" for my October trip, dont you? ;) Hope that you have Cape May, Jiko and Biergarten on your list!! :flower:

We've never tried the Nine Dragons, but would like to one day. We have been to the Lotus Blossom Cafe loads of times and love it.

I've been to Nine Dragons a couple of times and always enjoyed it. My personal favourite is Honey Sesame Chicken - very sweet but so good!

It's a bit different to the Scottish Chinese food, but I actually prefer it.

We haven't been but our friends went and said it was truly terrible - and extremely expensive.

Hi

Have never been to the Nine Dragons but agree with others concerning the Lotus Blossom Cafe. We always have a counter meal here when we are at Epcot.

Hi
I have had lunch there a couple of times.
I found the food to be ok, the only thing I didn't like was a bird was trapped in building and flying about. :sad2:

We've been there once, and although not terrible experience, we have not been back since.

Sorry about this but unless you're into feeding Koy Carp avoid this place like the plague. Unless you are in a party of about 30 you will be ushered to your seat then kicked out 45 minutes later having eaten garbage food with a large dent in your wallet.
This has happenned twice now
Never again
:headache: We absolutely hate the place

Wow, thank you for all your feedback! Lots to think about now :badpc:

Offsite won't be an option for us this trip (no hire car apart from a few days) but thank you for the info on Ming Court.

I guess it really shows how different people can have really different meals at the same place!

Allie - yes, yes and no ;) the Biergarten food just doesn't appeal to us!
