Hi!!!

I'm a frequent Disney guest, and this September I'm taking my 2 best friends who havent been since 2000. I gave them a list of resturants to choose and one of the days they want to go to Nine Dragons in Epcots China. I havent been there in a long time, has anyone gone recently? How has the food been? Any input would be appreciated :yay:

Was there a couple of months ago. It's always been awful food and it still is. You'll get better and less expensive Chinese food down the street from your house than you will here. They are going to undergo a rehab later this year - let's hope they rehab the menu as well.

I was very disappointed in Nine Dragons. While it wasn't horrible, it was just OK. I've had way better chinese food than nine dragons.

I'd never go back !!

We went in June of last year and loved it. We had the honey chicken and some beef dish. The appetizers were great and the hot and sour soup was incredible (it had hints of cilantro and that was so unique and so good).

The portions were huge and it was a nice respite from the other crowded restaurants.:)

Due to the mediocre reviews it gets I was hesitant to try it. However, it's the only TS at Epcot that I'd never tried, so last Dec decided to try it for lunch. I was pleasantly surprised. I asked the waiter for the spicest dish on the menu. He pointed to the the first entree, but then after he brought it, kept coming back every few minutes to make sure I liked it and offering to bring me something else if I didn't. It was some sort of beef in spicy broth and very good.

We have been there several times for both lunch and dinner. We love it - great chicken dishes and wonton soup. Everyone has there own opinion, but we go there once on every trip.

We went this past December for lunch and really liked it. It wasn't the greatest Chinese food that I ever had but it was good. I cannot remember what we ate (I have a dining report somewhere on the boards). One thing I remembered is the strawberry ice cream...the best!!! I am not a strawberry ice cream lover either.

best hot/sour soup Ive ever had. However, had some stomach problems later.:scared:

ice cream there was very tasty

I went for lunch in 2004, it was a bit too expensive and not that much better than the typical Chinese takeout place you can always go to. I would recommend saving your money for somewhere else and doing Lotus Blossom and drinking a Bubble Tea while you're there!

We have always had an enjoyable experience there. Go ahead and give it a try for yourself. :thumbsup2

we went last September and LOVED it! We had heard mixed reviews so we were hesitant too.:confused3 Later in the week we went to the Food Festival for our date nite. The lines were so soooo long for everything and we were sooo hungry we walked up and got right in and had a second wonderful meal..I think the place is beautiful..Service is very very quick...We were on the dining plan so the cost wasn't a concern for us. I had the honey sesame chicken and I thought it was fabulous. My DH had the cantonese pepper beef and absolutely LOVED it !! My kids had the sweet and sour chicken. It came in a little boat (which they thought was cool) The chicken pieces were on one side of the boat and the sauce was on the other. I thought that was a fantastic idea because my DD loved the sauce but my DS didn't so he ate the pieces of chicken plain. Second meal i had some seafood thing which was very good..(will definately get the honey sesame chicken next time) And my DH had his pepper beef again. He loved it as much the second as he did the first. It is one of the few places that we are DEFINATELY eating at again this Sept.

Most improved vote along with Coaral Reef,we did not enjoy either in previous visits. Then after few years decided to try again. It was a big change and thought both were much improved and really enjoyed our dining experience at both.Better food and thought service was great.:goodvibes Danny

We have heard such bad reviews about it, I was reluctant to try it but we have decided we're going to give it a go. We love chinese food and figure even if it's only just OK, rather than fantastic, we will still be happy :)

I went to Nine Dragons on my last trip to WDW and I liked it a lot. The food was great and so was the service. The atmosphere was also good.

RED BEAN ICE-CREAM  !! This stuff is the best! We tried Nine Dragons for the first time in Aug 06 & my family loved the place. My DD14 cannot stop talking about the ice-cream.

I also do not understand why it always gets such lousy reviews :confused3 . The inside is beautiful, service was excellent & the food was great. We are planning a return trip this Nov.

While it is good to listen to people's opinions on restaurants, it is always a good thing to try it yourself. You may be pleasantly surprised!
