We got this camera for our 10 year old daughter for Christmas, based on it receiving many great reviews, which include, "It takes high quality, excellent, pictures!" Um... we are not finding this to be the case! It's an 8 mp camera, so we expected a lot more from the actual quality of the photos. They are all coming out very grainy, even when we have it on the 8mp setting (we typically lower it to 5). It is also having a very hard time focusing, and many of the pictures taken have been blurry, even though the camera says it was focused!
Now on an up side.. we took it to a concert this past Friday, and we were in the very front. The camera performed better than I had expected there, both with pictures and videos. Obviously, we won't be mainly shooting concerts, so was are concerned that we got the wrong camera. We're thinking of returning it, and buying her something else.
I'm wondering if anyone else has this camera, and what your experience with it has been?
