Nikki, I've only recently started posting more than I have before, so you may not recognize my name. I am so sorry to hear of you loss. My thoughts are with you at this time. My wife and I have 3 cats and to us they are everything to us, we unfortuantly can't have children, so to us the cats are our babies. Remember the good times you've had, and they will live forever in your memory.

Nikki, I'm so very sorry for your loss. all off my babies have four legs, and it can hurt so horribly to say goodbye. I had a little part chihuahua that I had to eventually send over the bridge due to back problems problems that steroids could not longer control and I wasn't going to put her though surgery at her age and state of health. It was so hard. So, while I can't image what you're feeling (no one can), I can tell you that Scoot is the one dog I've never really gotten over. There will always be a Scooter shaped hole in my heart that no other dog will be able to fill. She was just special.

Seeing her relaxed and out of pain, though, confirmed that I had done the right thing. I still miss that noisy little dog, even though there have been 5 dogs come through my life since and there are three sleeping downstairs right now. Not to mention 4 cats in this bed as I type.

My thoughts are with you, and your most special friend.

Oh, Nikki, i am so sorry. i cry at the mere suggestion that my Marea will be gone someday (i'm crying now!).

Something that helped me thru my grief was I made a digital photo album of her.

Lorie that's beautiful!! i may have to do something like this for my mom, her furbaby just turned 12 a few days ago, so we know what's coming sooner than later...
